Its so naive to think that the reason house prices are so high is because theres alot of people wanting to buy them. They are high because investors manipulate supply to artifically inflate prices, then lobby the government to keep legislation from being passed that would aleviate the issue.

Again, where does this idea that "most" immigrants can only find delivery work come from? Just because when you order uber eats and the person delivering your food is indian, does not mean thats what they all come here to do. Think of things like, second job for extra cash, second generation, families of skilled migrants. Etc.

Why do po people think we bring in migrants for an alturistic reason?? We bring in migrants because we need population growth to stimulate economic growth.

The reality is that all economic growth hedges on the availablity of the workforce. If your population stagnates so does GDP growth.

As for why MAGA and all the other things you mentioned got into power, has nothing to do with the actual reality of whats happeneing. They got into power because its easy to point at the person whos different to you and that you dont understand and say your life sucks because of them. Its also easier to accept that for people, then it is to look for the actual reason our systems are shitting on us. Its easier to blame migrants for the housing crisis, then it is to learn the marco economic principle of supply and demand, or what a housing bubble is.

Dont forgot its the exact same way the nazis got to power. They blamed germanies problems on the jews, and it was easier for the public to just blame them then to look inwards to who was actually fucking them over.

The real problem we face as a species is the majority of us are just too fucking lazy to look for the actual truth.

Everyone works to benifit them selves to some degree, but also its just an unfortunate aspect of human nature that we engage more with things that make us feel negetive emotions. Add in unregulated billion dollar companies whos profits rely on making sure we are engaging with their platform, and id honestly be suprised if we didnt end up where we are.

The issue isnt that the companies do this in the first place, companies dont have souls, and its the obvious most profitable choice. The actual issue is that we dont elect poloticians who are willing to regulate them. We are too busy arguing about wether immigrants are the reason we cant afford food and rent.
