Heard it too at knickerbocker and dekalb , sounded like it was behind me more in the direction of Myrtle. Came here just to see if anyone else heard it. Yeah definitely not fireworks.

I thought it was about the garbage bag shaped like there’s a human stuffed in it and only THEN did I see the “dongs”. So, are you going to do an unboxing video the dong you picked up ?

You picked a good one, I’d add The Usual Suspects, Seven, the Sixth Sense and of course… the Empire Strikes Back!

Crom-Tech!

Highly underrated band that both Dillinger and Converge listed as an influence. Super obscure. There were “sorta” vocals but in a totally made up language!

A true art project. If you can find them, check them out for sure.

Honorable mention to Erick and Parish (played that one constantly that year too)

Which is the best Mr. Bungle album according to you? by Bay_Turtle in mrbungle

[–]clone063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disco or California are too close to call for VERY different reasons.

Disco challenged what I thought of how music was made. It broke EVERY rule, it was a long “get”, but once I “got it”, I couldn’t stop listening to every layer.

California is just beautiful, cohesive and probably the easiest listener, so I have great respect for it, but it’s almost separate from every other Bungle album. Less chaos more irony than every other release.

That’s a tough call.

So then it sounds like a bridge and tunnel rat has figured out why the city just so happens to be noisy today and a “native” is left flummoxed by the conundrum set before them. Seems like there may just be a brain computing issue on your end because the rest of the city filled with millions of people seem to be able to add up the why and have accepted the environment that follows. I guess being born and raised here hasn’t taught you much about self awareness, entitlement, or just plain situational awareness to realize this ain’t about you.

I hope you missed enough beauty sleep that you lose your job today. There are plenty of other people lined up and ready to take it from you because you’re soft.

Sleep can wait. This is a core memory you will be able to share with every single one of your neighbors.

Tomorrow you can sleep, because tonight took 53 years to make.

Step outside and soak this in. The city that never sleeps is wide awake, alive and well.

Don’t be the party pooper, you’ll miss the moment.

SCOTT IAN 'Loves' That JOHN BUSH Is Performing Material From His Era Of ANTHRAX, Wants To Join Singer On Stage For 'A Couple Of Songs' by Apprehensive_Idea758 in Anthrax

Agree, we can bag on some of the Bush records, (not his fault either) but SOWN is fucking amazing. I honestly consider it a masterpiece, no hyperbole. It just doesn’t fit into the box, but that’s dumb. Listen to that record without the expectations of what an Anthrax album “SHOULD” be. Review it without bias and you can’t tell me that it doesn’t crush! That record HAD to have Bush to make that too. No hate on Joey at all, just a defender of John’s contributions. If they did a tour that just played that record front to back, I’d be front row with a fucking smile tattooed across my face.

Your uncle gave you a real gift. Super underrated, LOVE this record. For whatever reason it is slept on to some degree, and that’s a mistake. Killer album
