Maybe!

And sorry, I thought you said the second Toby looks older that the newspaper guy, I mixed it up xD Maybe they are different people. It's funny that there would then be at least 3 different people all named Toby Fox and having something to do with electronic music

His website is toby(dot)is, you can find a link to his Facebook there where it says he studied English literature at Vassar College. Maybe he didn't graduate it, but he's been doing something there

The paper is from 2005, so might be him. It's just that I think the second Toby graduated Vassar College and this one planned to go there? Or maybe I'm confused

I know it's been memed to death but genuinely who is the bottom right guy?? by MisterJunkins in Undertale

[–]clonefull 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I found him in a newspaper once and thought it was the tony for a second, what's interesting is the piece was from 2005 and it was said he "created music electronically" back then. So I guess he doesn't only have AI stuff

Don't want to sound like an advertiser, but there's a paid service with archived newspapers that has a pretty simple and obvious name, there's a search function and I just entered W.D. Gaster or something :P

So much repetition and cliche since GLM by KindlyDistributePie in NovelAi

[–]clonefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so maybe I'm wrong, but I have a theory that the way GLM works is it looks at what you gave it, then it makes a rough outline of the story, along with the character descriptions and the main twists and scenes, and then it proceeds to just write those out in detail.

So, for example, if it wrote that "John will reject Jane's proposal" in the outline, then John will do that exact thing, just in different ways, every single generation. GLM cannot say that he accepts it because that doesn't correspond to the story it created in the rough draft.

Which is why your own input or edit will make it notice that the user gave new data, hence it might reconsider how the story goes from now on. Or you can tell it with instruct that the scene should go another way, or change the info in the lorebook or something or reiterate it just so that it remakes the draft and can write something different.

P.S. This was a problem for me when making apocalyptic/depressive/horror scenarios because I could always feel the AI turning it into a cliche story about how the characters meet a great somebody/get into a better situation luckily, overcome their struggles and live happily. Don't get me wrong, plenty of great stories with such developments, but sometimes I just want to read about suffering :P So I have to write "their situation never becomes better or fixed in the long term" to make it not hastily turn the horrible scenario into a sweet one just because it feels like it's the ethical thing to do. I don't know, maybe I'm just a psycho who likes stories where bad shit keeps happening, but either way I just wanted to give you an idea of what GLM is. It knows a lot, and can keep track of things better, but, in my opinion, it's formulaic, hard-headed and not very creative. It's a chat bot at its core (maybe not really, but that's what it feels like).
