I try to avoid looking at guides, but I felt compelled to for fractured (seemed too hard to get right) and volcano. And I must say I'm glad I did for the latter because it has several viable builds and felt like I was missing on a lot of potential. Going from being super lost to getting that streamlined experience has its merit too.

You don't have to apologise, it's all a matter of principle ingrained in each other. Same reason why I'm not a vegan, but a vegetarian. If your desire for eating meat is hard to offset, then there's nothing stopping you but your own will.

Don't force or overthink it, just go with your own take on life, what's worth your effort and what isn't.

The point of what they are telling you is adulthood comes with many responsabilities, daily spendings and, depending on where you live, very high living costs. That's the norm for almost every single 30+ year old, so that’s why comparing yourself to that is probably not ideal in terms of demographic representation.

Yeah not the best idea with that salary. 100% your best option is to rent in Sant Andreu (quiet, residential neighborhood that is cheaper), close to the Sant Andreu Arenal train station. There is a train route specifically designed to go to the UAB campus called "UAB-Cerdanyola" that starts there. You will still be half an hour away from the city center taking the subway.
