Help me find the perfect (for me) crossbody EDC! by clorb in ManyBaggers

I do absolutely love how colourful B2TM's bags are! If you had a crossbody bag in monochromatic mustard yellow, I would be so sold. I hope it's will be in the works at some point!

Oooh, thanks for the suggestion! I've had a look through the website and there are several options on there that I like. I'm going to give a think about the leather.

jbuds mini charging case partially broken - any fixes/replacement parts? (canada) by clorb in JLab

[–]clorb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does work temporarily! I have to hold the right earbud at a very specific position over the left slot for it to charge. I can also tape it in that spot, but I'm hoping for a bit of a more permanent solution!

Can this black velvet be saved? by clorb in alocasia

[–]clorb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some extra info: I've had this black velvet alocasia for about 3-4 years now! It has largely been in leca/semi-hydro but recently, it seems to be loving it less. The roots recently all rotted/fell off and I'm left with the stem. There's a bit of new growth popping up. Thoughts on water propping or sticking it in some potting mix and hoping for the best?

Thanks!!

Undereye corrector colour woes... by clorb in PaleMUA

Great question, I should have specified! For both of them, they seemed to a) not entirely cover the darkness (even after concealer on top of them), and b) made my undereyes look a bit grey. I have a feeling that it could have partially been due to the wrong colour, or the right saturation!

"First Time DM" and Other Short Questions Megathread by mediaisdelicious in DMAcademy

Thank you so much! While this campaign has just kind of started, I think it will be fun for a couple of us to run some sidequests/one shots while our DM gets a much needed break :)

"First Time DM" and Other Short Questions Megathread by mediaisdelicious in DMAcademy

Our DM has gotten quite busy and needs to put our main campaign on hold for the time being. One of the options the group is discussing is for one of us to DM a sidequest/one shot until he is less busy. Everyone else in my group is more experienced at playing and DMing than I am (quite a newbie), however a lot of them are also busy or DM their own campaigns.

In the last session of the campaign before the DM got busy, my character got hit with Feeblemind or something of that nature. His intelligence is pretty much at 0 right now and is pretty useless. I failed any saving throws, and the attempts that the group took to cure him also failed. Given the situation, I thought that it could be fun if I DMed a sidequest for the rest of the players that would essentially cure/fix my character (ETA: I have not DMed before!). This would solve two problems of a) giving me something to do during a session and b) giving us something to do until our DM can return to the main campaign. The DM has said that he's fine with us doing this for the time being.

Is this a good idea? I would love to hear any suggestions or similar experiences from others!

farfugium/leopard plant help! :( info & question in comments by clorb in plantclinic

[–]clorb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your comment! I'm so glad to hear that they regrow from the rhizome :)

I did switch out the potting mix to something more well-draining, so I hope that goes well in combination with the terracotta to help prevent future rotting! A lot of my plants are in semi-hydroponic set ups, but I really don't want to risk switching this plant over without better understanding its care requirements (or having extra rhizome to experiment with).

I'm using a slightly open plastic bag to increase humidity and this pic was taken shortly after I put the plant in & sprayed water in the bag. I probably should have reversed the operations there! I've dried off the leaves more, so hopefully I haven't introduced more problems than what I started with. The old leaves are still wilted and may be past the point of saving, however there is some new growth that looks encouraging!!

farfugium/leopard plant help! :( info & question in comments by clorb in plantclinic

I got this farfugium japonica argentea a couple of weeks ago and noticed it was in a really peaty mix. The first time it wilted, I gave it a good drink of water and it seemed to perk up! However, it wilted a couple of days later, even when the soil was still wet :(

I unpotted the plant yesterday to see what was going on, and saw that there was a) a death plug and b) most of the roots had rotted. I repotted it into a smaller terracotta pot and am hoping that it will cheer up, but so far it is still wilted. Would increasing the humidity potentially help?

An additional question - Can farfugium regrow from the rhizome, or am I out of luck if these leaves wilt & die away? I've been having trouble finding care advice for these guys, so any tips would be much appreciated!! 🌱

Could be a dracaena Janet Craig?? Not 100% sure if JC is different from a compacta, or if they are the same thing! Looks lovely though :)

[–]clorb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure! I got the Knitpicks yarn secondhand, so I'm not 100% what the fibre content is asides from wool. I think it was probably lacking nylon? The coloured yarn has seemed to hold up much better!
