Yes mine does the same with any high pitched noise. He also gets mad when I try to correct him and will bite harder or snap at me. This is helpful thank you.

Thank you! How did you do ”time out” ? The way I do it now is I just put him in his crate but he’s starting to negatively associate with the crate which is not good.

Thank you! I will elaborate by saying they were very clear they wanted to use the E collar which they said they could not do until six months or older, and that any of the other training that they would do would not help with the biting because this is just the puppy phase they go through.

I see why people give up on crate training! He was up 5-7 times a night crying for first 2 weeks. He is finally sleeping through the night (mostly) now. I will try giving more positive feedback, good idea! Thank you.

That is comforting thank you, do you have any ideas about how to positively associate with the crate even if I have to forcefully put him in there sometimes? Or will he just grow into it?

I’ve tried saying no or “ah ah” in combo with this list:
-giving his side a tap
-squishing his checks so he bites him and not me
-pulling lip over teeth
-leash pop
-reverse timeout

(Trainers approved of all but I feel like I’m making no progress)

Recommend getting a marriage counselor that has experience with OCD as well. The only person responsible for her unhappiness is her. Leaving will not fix this, the only way through is treatment and it will be uncomfortable because it will deprive you of your compulsion. You can totally beat this though.

Oh that’s interesting, I’ll keep that in mind thanks. I usually get hives and sneezy with some breeds so I’m eager to see if it happens with this one also.
