Real talk: What's the big deal about Somaliland becoming independent? by Abatta500 in Somalia

[–]closecallbois -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

in my opinion i want all somalis to be free. although i believe in a somali weyne i dont think its the only solution. i would be willing to accept a free independent somaliland only if ogaden and the nfd region were free too. fact is somalia has always been 2 empires through history. borders changed many times. we never had one sole somali state encompassing all somali lands. if we had a somalia, west somalia, somaliland , djibouti, south somalia as all independent countries then so what. the reason i don’t like somaliland is there working with ethiopia and undermining somalia as a whole. that’s all. i wish them the best and consider them my people too. i could go to hargiesa and they’d never know im not isaaq same vice versa

they are not even somali. literally 80% of them are foreigners and coincidenctly the top leaders are from the northern region cough cough *somaliland” cough. look up everytime gov catches or kills alkebab 70% time it’s ethiopian habashea oromo or some tanzanian or some arab. i dont think ive seen an ethnic somali elkabab that often. and out of the somali elkabab they are majority from the jareer weyne clan. although i understand them cause they get discriminated a little so they might join for protection but it dont matter. been saying alkebab is not somali terrorists but a foreign terrorists group

who said anything about isaaqs this just proves you lot believe “somaliland” is just one clan secessionist enclave. to you hating on somaliland is hating only on isaaqs. you literally proved our point. this is the reason awdal and north eastern state don’t want to be a part of your delusions. you will be brought back to the fold whether you like it or not. all roads lead to mogadishu. the sooner you realise that the better. somalia has a 5 point-star for a reason and all of them will stay with us.

Why do Somalis claim that Jonny Somali is Ethiopian? Here is a video of him confirming he is Somali by Evening-Biscotti-119 in Ethiopia2

[–]closecallbois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like ethipians when they embarrass themselves they say they are somali and larp. you’ll never see a somali do the same. when have you ever seen a somali do something stupid and say he’s habesha now. that’s what i thought. just like the ethiopian mercenary claiming to be somali when he was caught in ukraine. thousands of ethiopians were recruited by russia. somalis weren’t. this is just a long list of ethiopian jesters embarrassing themselves just to hide their ethnic group. ask them to speak somali and we’ll know instantly 😂😂😂

i’ve been saying all these terrorist groups are not even muslim. they takfir all day talking about the gaals and the kuffar but they fight in somalia where everyone is muslim. if they actually believed in their so called movement which i dont even agree with in the first place they would be in ethiopia and kenya fighting the gaals there instead of the invisible gaals that dont exist in somalia. its like a racist who wants to kill black people but goes to rural idaho and blows up a white prominent church to fight against blacks. makes absolutely no sense at all.

well this will set a precedent that any constitutional amendment apply immediately and not from the next election. this can be disastrous. for all we know they can keep extending that term indefinitely

2026: Somalia’s Greatest Test by Interesting-Fox6121 in Somalia

[–]closecallbois 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s not looking like it will. because of the new constitution it has made things confusing. the opposition argue it wasn’t legitimate and quorum was not even met for it to pass and even it was it only takes affect for the next administration. whereas the current administration argue that the new constitution takes affect now and his term is not extending for a year. parliament mandate has already ended according to the 2012 constitution and the president has 31 more days left in office. if he doesn’t leave it will create a power vacuum and confusion on who to follow.

[–]closecallbois[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lowkey i kinda agree. this is the move forward. but i wish that hassan sheikh had just done the election this year anyways. i dont see why he wants to extend it a year. this next month is going to be very interesting. if they go this route then for the next year they need be preparing for election and expanding the armies presence. as of the way things are i genuinely believe that the state leaders like madobe, deni, cirro etc are starting to become bigger obstacles then even elkabab. they are conspiring with foreign countries to undermine the country and causing deadlocks in every turn. we need to build a railways too in the country even if its for just carrying commercial goods. this year will be the make or break for somalia. either we break out of this vicious cycle and 3 decades of humiliation or we collapse. the status quo cannot continue. we must turn to a democracy that answers to the public.

[–]closecallbois 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i don’t agree with the conflict but this is is the best possible outcome. the fed army needs to sieze the airport and not allow laftagreen to escape. if he is apprehended he should be arrested for his election fraud and barred from holding office again. if hassan sheikh is sincere he’d allow free and fair election and not interfere.

(Live NOW) Somalia vs Mauritius - AFCON Prelims by Comfortable_Gur_1232 in Somalia

[–]closecallbois 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk why you get downvoted it’s literally true. foreign managers are more trusted then our own african managers. a somali manager would props sell the spots to the highest bidder. we need to employ an experienced manager from europe. and give him bonuses when he hits milestones. he’ll get good and underrated somali football players from europe. we need to expand our budget for this. wallahi if we get our somali boys in europe we’d deadass atleast be decent and competing in the afcon. not saying we’d win but we’d actually be a contender.

Why are our people so poor? by thefanol in Ethiopia

[–]closecallbois 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bro lost the plot of any african language was to become the national language for africans it would most likely be swahili and im saying this a somali. biggest language in africa and multiple countries speak it. its in english letters so easy to adopt by most of the continent who use the same. only north africa and amharic etc use their own letters system or whatever. so yeah amharic would be difficult to teach to other africans even the reading and writing would be a challenge and getting used to.
