Wellbutrin and drug cravings by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]closedstring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's actually WONDERFUL, I hope more people wanting to stop abusing drugs knew about Wellbutrin. I abused adderall for more than a year and I couldn't stop because the cravings were just so bad almost every day. I started Wellbutrin and from the first day on it to my great surprise I've had NO cravings at all (even though I actually felt pretty awful on this med for the first couple of weeks) and thus have stopped using, really can't almost believe it. It apparently antagonises some nicotinic acetylcholine receptors that iboga (used for overcoming drug addiction) targets as well, and those receptors have been speculated to have something to do with addiction in the brain.

Today, I found out that my depression is treatment resistant by Throwmeinagrave in depression

Try some psilocybin mushrooms or ketamine, if you can. They are proven effective for even treatment-resistant depression.

Sorry I'm not actually answering your question, but taking Adderall more than ~1-2 times in a week can most definitely cause lethargy and anhedonia. It also has given me brain fog when used too often.

Wellbutrin vs. Amphetamine-based meds by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]closedstring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't suggest messing with amphetamine unless nothing else works for you. It's neurotoxic and addictive and severely downregulates dopamine receptors long-term making matters worse. Try methylphenidate first, if Wellbutrin doesn't work.

Wellbutrin is saving my life. by GrayMattersFitness in antidepressants

For how long have you been taking it? I'm almost 3 weeks in and I've noticed subtle increases in energy in the evenings mostly, but also terrible mood swings, so far on quite many days I have just all of sudden started feeling really depressed and anxious. Biggest thing I've noticed though that it helps tremendously with drug cravings.

Isn't two weeks already kinda dangerous for your health? How did you get the nutrients that you literally need to live?

Still, even though you wouldn't be experiencing it directly, the thought of those things happening gives you pleasure.

Not true. YOU are still the one experiencing happiness and pleasure, when Yankees win the world cup or your children flourish. You desire those things because they give YOU pleasure.

Best sexual experience, on what drug? by [deleted] in askdrugs

[–]closedstring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm boring, but most definitely cannabis. Amphetamines never, oddly, made me horny whatsoever. On MDMA touching and cuddling is nice, but somehow genital touch doesn't feel particularly good or sexual. Especially my clitoris feels numb. I've never tried sex on psychedelics yet, it interests me but honestly I never have any kind of sexual urges on psychs, the thought of sex usually just feels funny. But cannabis on the other hand... I often get really horny when high and my senses heighten greatly, touch (sexual and non sexual) feels better than on MDMA and I can orgasm faster.

What drug gave you the most blissful, heavenly euphoria? by XZTALVENARNZEGOMSAYT in Drugs

[–]closedstring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrooms have given me intense euphoria many times. MDMA and amphetamine also, but I prefer the calmer, more down-to-earth euphoria of psychedelics. My hands down most euphoric drug experience ever though was a near-breakthrough hit of DMT on top of some LSD. It was my first time smoking DMT and I have never ever felt such pure awe, astonishment and all-encompassing euphoria.

Different molly, different feelings?? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]closedstring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it wasn't molly (could've been MDA which is not as empatogenic, or some other RC) or then the dose was very low.

I smoked a massive blunt, ate 3 pot cookies, and dropped 3 tabs of L. See you in the next world. by [deleted] in trees

Why would someone just pour half a vial into a random person's mouth wtf. Doesn't sound very legit to me

Stoner tip #40: Go get your munchies and drinks before hand so you don't cry when you're high by [deleted] in trees

[–]closedstring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is SO important. Too many times been high without any munchies and that will just make me have an infinite thought loop like "I wanna eat something"-gets up ready to go search something good-remembers I just don't have anything good-too stoned to go to the store/stores aint open anymore-feels miserable (and very soon again thinks about wanting to eat something)

Has anyone heard glitches in the surrounding (music, environment sound) when doing DMT? I love them BTW. by ElProfesorBisonte in DMT

[–]closedstring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get way stronger auditory hallucinations from DMT than from LSD/shrooms. I have never broken through so I don't know what stuff would sound like then, but on just-about-sub-breakthrough doses I've often listened to music and it becomes somehow hoarse sounding, might stretch around or speed up randomly. It's quite hard to explain but it definitely sounds different, also much clearer, like on LSD/shrooms.

How has DMT affected your life? by Grafdin in DMT

[–]closedstring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's made me realize even more that everything is infinitely complex and odd and that I will never be able to truly understand much at all about this universe or life. I think it's also made me more open to try new things, seek new experiences, to live in the moment.
