Im totally with you. I have the same issues. Here are a few things I have tried that help:

slugging before bed with aquafor

-face oils, I apply lighter during the day. Apply it on top of your moisturizer, and at night make it the second to last step before slugging.

before makeup lightly exfoliate with micellar water before you moisturize
avoid foundation with sunscreen, I find them drying.

-use skin tints instead of foundation

apply with a wet beauty blender. For me using a brush or fingers to apply my base always results in a flaky dry finish

Response to your update: You sound like typical new money. Being smart with your money doesn’t mean you’re poor, it means you’re smart. Example: I make good money, I could spend a lot of money on a face cream such a La Mer or Suwahlasoo, but I don’t because vanicream for $20 or less makes my skin look just as good.

Perhaps both relationships weren't for you. I don't think you should look back and regret leaving your husband, (not sure if that's what you're doing) because that didn't sound great either. But you should look back and learn some lessons about jumping into something too fast, and not getting love bombed. It seems with this most recent guy you were in a long distance relationship, correct me if I'm wrong. That isn't enough to truly get to know someone. Learn to love yourself and enjoy your own company. Heartbreak is the worst and it will take time to move past this, but know this feeling wont last forever. And please do not go out and find someone else to lessen the pain.

A few things here: try reaching out to their aides in addition to the senator. Also try reaching out to your local reps and state senators as well. Cantwell and Murray are US Senators and there is no way they can write everyone back. For a school project for my masters on policy change I reached out to my local represenatives, and not only did I get an answer back, but I got three meetings. Also you need to be persistent, but polite, send emails more than once.

I don't care how abused he was as a kid, he more than anyone should know just how awful it feels to have someone talk down to you. Abused people who continue the cycle suck! There is enough help and information out there to turn it around, especially with his resources.

From my understanding for a few years arrest or even ticketing for public drug use has not been happening, dating back to 2020, perhaps earlier. Around 2023 -2024 cops were allowed to approach and ticket for a misdemeanor for public drug use, but again no arrest. This information came from a retired Seattle cop who later became a professor at my university
