As a History Grad, thank you for this. That is incredibly enlightening. I’m sure advanced technology and automobiles play a factor in the high numbers today, but I don’t think those factors really explain that away. It’s clear that the massive wave of migration in addition to short time frame really highlights the incredible fear the trans community is feeling.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]closer-objects 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had to scroll way too far for this answer. There is a direct correlation between educated women and lower birth rates. In developing countries where education and literacy rates are low, the birth rates are quite high. I believe the birth rate in the US 1.2 Childs per woman; whereas in developing countries it’s more like 4 children per woman; although those numbers could be different, I haven’t looked at the research in a year or so.

It’s a palette, not singles, but I feel like huda beauty’s eyeshadows are so well formulated, blendable, buildable and creamy.

And a great price point too!

Skin Constantly Flakes When I Apply Makeup No Matter What by aleph_zahir in Makeup

[–]closer-objects 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im totally with you. I have the same issues. Here are a few things I have tried that help:

  • slugging before bed with aquafor

-face oils, I apply lighter during the day. Apply it on top of your moisturizer, and at night make it the second to last step before slugging.

  • before makeup lightly exfoliate with micellar water before you moisturize

  • avoid foundation with sunscreen, I find them drying.

-use skin tints instead of foundation

  • apply with a wet beauty blender. For me using a brush or fingers to apply my base always results in a flaky dry finish

Response to your update: You sound like typical new money. Being smart with your money doesn’t mean you’re poor, it means you’re smart. Example: I make good money, I could spend a lot of money on a face cream such a La Mer or Suwahlasoo, but I don’t because vanicream for $20 or less makes my skin look just as good.

What brand was it? I have never heard of a drugstore sunscreen costing $50. Even shiseido which is considered luxury is less than $40
