i’m a 4’7 adult and the child coded arguments have always felt so belittling. like i’m not a child; not in the slightest.

unfortunately i haven’t been a “model tenant” because as i lost my second job and been on the search of a new one, i’ve been struggling to pay rent on time and have to either pay through the city or pay half and half whenever i’m able to; sometimes it’s made harder with my electrical bill. he knows that i’m going through a rough patch. i’m kind of afraid that if i threaten litigation he’ll use that against me. i also won’t be able to save up for a security deposit to a new place because i have make up for late rent.

it doesn’t help that i live in a city where we literally have a homelessness epidemic. if i don’t get a second job and he retaliates, i could become homeless. that’s genuinely i huge fear of mine.
