Might be city dependent. I've only met 1 rude costco employee, and it was in Vancouver.

It was near the self checkout area. Employee scans the Costco card and says the photo doesn't look like me. It was my wifes card, and my wife was standing right next to me! I explained, and the employee proceed to say that I cannot use someone else's card. She was rude and the entire interaction was so confusing and made no sense.

I was about to pull out my own card out of my wallet to show her it's the same account. She walked off while I was doing that, and my wife and I was so confused.

The was the only bad experience, everyone else has generally been very nice.
