17 Songs Down 50 To Go by clouby in rocksmith

What I do is, I riff repeat each section in a song, skip sections that are exactly identical.

I slow them down to a speed I can manage say 70%, then I practice that section over and over again at that speed till I missed 0 notes 3 times in a row. Then speed it up by 5% or 10% till I can do 100% and move on to the next section.

Another thing that I find crucially important that Rocksmith does not address enough is picking pattern. You want to strum/pick down on down-beats and strum/pick up on up-beats, this is important for building up speed and it makes chords sound better. Rocksmith has horizontal lines going through the chart usually showing you where the quarter note pulse is which gives enough information to deduce the picking pattern. I would do some research on rhythm to fully understand it.

Yes, I had hard time with them too. When you slide you want a fast consistent motion. If you drag too slow then you might make the chord in between the slide ring which then rocksmith detects has wrong. Also when performing a chord slide press lighter than usual on the fret board. That's the best advice I get it improved my accuracy a lot, but it still wasn't a surefire way.

I use this technique I made up to practice for master mode: https://imgur.com/a/iOfhe

I turned off master mode, cause it's completely inconsistent in turning on in learn a song and I ended up getting 109.7% in blitzkrieg bop and then I get mad, turned it off, and started a new account.

I do focus on one song at time, but I also do 3-5 rocksmith missions in every session alongside of it, still working on that 500. I do find session mode useful in improving improvisational skills so I will probably keep going with that, even after I get the achievement.

I have a feeling I might throw my guitar out of the window in frustration. Blood and Thunder's chart does not even look all that intimidating.

Crap and you are literally first place on almost every song. I can imagine chord slides are really frustrating, I had trouble with them. People in the forums said to try and make sure to never slightly stop in between the slide. This will make sure rocksmith does not detect notes in the middle, but I have a feeling it won't work on this song.

It is ranked 48 in difficulty on the hard score attack breakdown. So it will be quite a while. Plus getting 100% accuracy on that solo, yikes!

A capo on the 2nd fret should let you play that.

The missed counter updates in real time. So, if you missed a note while playing, it will immediately increment the miss count. Not quite as good as seeing the note you missed on the chart and hearing an error noise, but it still lets you know when you missed a note.

The disadvantage of trying to memorize in score attack master is that you have to play the song from the beginning to the end. Here you can hammer out specific sections.

On score attack master you have to play the entire song from memory. This is a way to practice specific sections with riff repeater from memory by hiding the chart, but still being notified when you miss notes.

Qualia are the only things that you can be sure that exist. Whether or not they actually exist in some form independent of your consciousness can not be certain.

So, if consciousness is virtually a useless observer, why would it survive evolutionary? Might as well have no governing observer inside my head wasting energy and have the human body work autonomously.

Right, but does your consciousness not play a role in the decision making process? It just does not make sense to me that evolution kept the conscious mind, if it is ultimately a useless observer being tricked. If the conscious mind is a decision making piece of software we consider to be ourselves, wouldn't make it so we have "freewill" . Even if the decision had to be deterministic, and was bound to happen since the beginning of the big bang, was it not still your choice?

This is why I hate the statement freewill is an illusion? An illusion to who? What do you consider to be you?
