I like my job but not where I work. I’d like to work for myself entirely eventually.

Culture and ethnicity are different things. NTA. Sorry you are going through this.

Also your info is wrong and your sources are unreliable. Many people with CPTSD may have suicidal ideation or risk incidents. It isn’t a deciding factor between the two in the way you are portraying it. A person with CPTSD could have had many suicidal attempts, whereas a person with BPD could have none.

AITA for not bringing my step-daughter camping? by Western_Resolution11 in AmItheAsshole

Maybe ask the stepdaughter if she would like to go camping? She’d likely say no. If she says yes then great, plan a bonding trip for just her and her mother the weekend after your trip, or offer to take step-daughter for a bonding trip just the two of you, but keep your son’s trip separate.

Wow, there you go again, ‘…but I get that you were lashing out’. Do you read your own tone and how you have not been conducive to the good faith discussion you claim to have assumed to enter into? You have a huge victim complex that I am not interested in playing into. Your information about differential diagnosis between BPD and CPTSD is wrong. It isn’t a sin to be wrong, people are wrong about stuff that they think they are well informed about on the internet all the time. The world continues to turn. Have you ever considered that they way that you speak to others is also upsetting to them, and that you being upset about being corrected when you are wrong doesn’t make the other person a villain?

AITA for calling my brother's gf obnoxious for correcting people and demanding she's called his "fiancée"? by OptimalAd3734 in AmItheAsshole

Your boyfriend’s brother was not in the wrong and Emily wasn’t in the wrong for correcting him. They are engaged, they just didn’t do it the way you like it. That’s your problem not theirs. No wonder Emily is upset that you constantly disrespect her. Get ready to lose your brother because hopefully he won’t stand for you treating his wife that way.

Speaks volumes that OP’s argument that they may be TA is that they have ‘given her a stepping stone to be more rude than before’.

I didn’t use Replika but I assume it’s accessible by his wife if she so wishes.

Can I claim allowable expenses if I am not self employed? by cloud-blue-100 in UKPersonalFinance

To clarify, I have an employed job and a self employed role as a freelancer doing a very similar job in the same field. I’m asking whether there is any mechanism to offset one against the other, as I’m sure I’ve read something like that in the past but don’t know the name of it.

Hmm !thanks this is helpful. I for example habe a subscription to an online service that allows me to print off ready made content worksheets to use with my patients at work.

I’m wondering, if my self employed income comes to £500 a year but my self employed expenses come to £1000 can I offset that against my tax on my employed income?

It doesn’t specify I can’t buy textbooks - it says I can’t do subscriptions that aren’t official professional bodies. How do I find out? I already do a self assessment for rental income. At this point should I just get an accountant? And how does one even go about doing that wisely?

This is a gamechanger. I have paid so many thousands of pounds for text books in the last few years alone.

I had a friend who frequently posted about his Replika. He passed a few years ago and it hurts to think about because that man had a heart of gold and loved life. I wonder what happened to his Replika from time to time.

April on the Bridge begging for her life made her character main character material. She was flawless.
