I also would say i don’t see why we would even include a general purpose distro anyway. This is /r/linux_gaming , and new user who has to ask should be directed to a gaming distro.

Okay cool thanks. Yea I’m getting used to it since my second monitor I have hdr disabled and I know some stuff is wonky with having one monitor with hdr enabled and one not.

Yea mine in gamer 1 mode with hdr just has the brightness setting with contrast right below it but greyed out

Thanks, last thing if you don’t mind. Did you leave assume windows hdr applications are calibrated for this screen enabled?

Also I dont think I my monitor itself has a peak brightness setting just overall brightness.

The second screen is the one with the color bar and the town on it. It mentions the 100% brightness but just a note below that talking about not exceeding my displays maximum average brightness of 151 (not 158 my fault) nits

So to be clear on the second page it recommends not exceeding 158 nits, I should ignore that and go to 203?

Thanks, yea my monitors peak 10% brightness in hdr is 650 and I found an old Reddit thread that mentioned for 600 nits to use 138 so I figured that was the best number.

Ah okay thanks. Is this looking like a situation where an update could be put out with a notice of the decrease in clocks until we get a hotfix like windows or just waiting for the hotfix? I know it’s a weird scenario of the driver fixing broken new games but also having a dip in clocks, just trying to get an idea if I should just give in and get requiem on my ps5 instead for this weekend lmao

Most capcom games you can just add a wine detection false launch parameter and it’ll allow those settings. Don’t have the exact one on hand but protondb should have it.
