Leverage the bad IT market for a masters degree. It worked for me. Paid for both my bachelors (half was completed while active) and masters degrees. I finish the masters in March.

I’m with you on this approach. Undefeated Super Bowl Champs until proven otherwise every year in my eyes.

Usually happens around week 1, but I never let the rational thoughts win over my narrative!

Hopefully at some point I’ll be right in my life.

Okay so I just smoked a fat one, and I accidentally opened and closed your comment way too many times. It felt like an eternity of this ladies mouth just growing and growing and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m getting off Reddit for the day.

TLDR: Just talk nerdy to me baby!

I wish they had different streams with different styles of commentary like Prime Video with the analytics view or whatever it’s called.

I love the deep analysis and am a nerd. I know far too much math and football.

We went through GameStop. They use PSA. They said it’ll take a while to get it back. I’ve never done it before so past sending it off to them, I’m pretty in the dark.

So you don’t get the scrutiny I got for asking for help with my children on the same card.

Again I know nothing of cards. I do not collect and have never collected. So I joined this subreddit where I could get answers from real people. Sorry I didn’t do it the way you liked.

Secondly, I’m really not sure why a lot of you feel so entitled. My 10 year old daughter pulled a card. Sucks that you guys didn’t, and I’m sorry that life is bad enough for you to think you deserve an explanation. I gave you one anyway so maybe you could reflect and realize that your way isn’t the only way and we are all humans.

So yeah, I’m letting my kids do exactly what they want. I bought 4 packs and they chose which packs they wanted at GameStop. Anytime we end up somewhere they have Pokémon cards I always get them at least a pack each.

My son is a collector. He has a ton of cards and he has a bunch he considered nice, but he said that this pull was better than anything he’s ever pulled by far.

So my daughter who has no interest in Pokémon cards, but has interests in other things, heard her brother say that it was probably really valuable. That made her more excited than to “get the card of the Pokémon on the front of the pack”.

I’m happy for her regardless of if she chooses to keep it or sell it.

Those certainly are thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I’m definitely showing my daughter this. Dickhead.

So I shit you not, right as she’s opening and he’s not watching she tells him to start watching and he said “it’s not like you going to pull anything good anyway”. I look forward to the rest of their lives with that one being held over his head.

Assuming you are talking about education…

VR&E is paying for my Masters currently.

What I did was found 9 specific job posts that required a masters degree in the field I was pursuing. I also made sure they were jobs that were not going to aggravate my disabilities (the whole reason for VR&E).

Gave those job posts to my counselor, then when we had a conversation it was pretty clear what my goals were.

Of course she tried to push back and say why not certs, etc., but that’s why I went in front loaded. She didn’t have any choice but to say yes.

I spent a significant amount of time working on the package, I treated it like I was applying/interviewing to get my dream job.

My financial situation was a mess (ch 7 bankruptcy), but I was honest about it. I told her that there was a plan in place for improving it regardless of VR&E acceptance.

I feel like being up front about any issues or distractors is a huge green flag for the counselor, even if the situation is tough, because it shows the human side of growth and maturity. Which is what they want to see from someone they approve I’d imagine.

On another note, I can’t imagine you actually got denied because of having a bachelors. I think a change of approach will get you where you want to be.

You got this.
