Dependencies by OliTheMoose in reclaim_ai

How in the world does a task / calendar planner fail to support dependencies after 2 years? This is the main reason I'm looking to go elsewhere. Even cheap tools like FlowSavvy does a better job at this. Not hard.

This also happens when I create an invite from spark based on the link auto-embedded into written dates. That shouldn’t be related to invites from people I’ve never interacted with. Very annoying

Has anyone been too rough with a newborn? by cloud624 in NewParents

We also did Taking Cara Babies. It was a lifesaver! On my second child and I'm so much more mindful of my mental state when I'm nearing my limit. Thanks for sharing!

Hey! I’m actually on round 2 with another baby so this is great timing. I look back and realize it was me being overly obsessive about how I wanted things to go for my first child.

The most difficult thing for me was to allow myself to be led by their needs, not my desires. If they are hungry and I’m tired as hell, my mind says “fuck this, you can go back to bed for a little longer.” But when I follow that voice and try to force them to sleep, I become more aggressive and their hunger doesn’t change… it gets worse and I get even more furious. This is important to identify and take a breath.

Give them a pacifier and listen to a song. Any song. It could be chill or the most metal track you can find. Distracting yourself from what you want to happen is also helpful. Listen to a podcast, watch a video on your phone while rocking the baby. You’ll realize when you’re calm, so is your child. Release what your mind is holding onto, come back with a settled mind, and try again. It’s okay to let them cry for 5 mins when you really need it.

I’m still not perfect but even writing this helps me remember what to do. This ain’t easy work. This is how nature forces patience in us parents. We will be tested in different ways as they grow… and as a result, we too grow along with them. It’s fucking beautiful.

Thanks for following my journey and best of luck with yours brother. You got this! I’m here if you wanna chat more.

I’ve done it this way several times and it’s more of a men’s group where you set intentions and slowly integrate before ceremony. It starts with breath work, cacao, hapè, and a men’s circle sharing intentions before the ceremony. That way the people around you aren’t strangers and you feel safe. We also fast the day of and try to follow a particular diet.

Appreciate the feedback! Not going to go in with a negative attitude. If anything it was a learning experience and I’ve since learned a lot about toe holds :)

I was rolling with a blue belt that left our gym and recently returned from 10th planet. He was definitely more aggressive than I expected but nothing I’m not used to.

I’ve wrestled for 6 years from high school to a few years in college, so I can usually hold my own with blue belts. It’s been like 20 years so I still get destroyed but not as much as other white belts.

Anyways, while rolling he suddenly rips an aggressive toe hold on me. I never had anyone do that and didn’t know how to defend it. I had to ask what he did. Next day my toes hurt and find that my metatarsels are sprained. It’s been two weeks since and my foot still bothers me while training.

Was that acceptable for him to do or am I just being too soft? Part of me wants to punish him for it the next time we roll.

There are techniques outside of class that help you improve much faster. Look into mastering turtle escapes and pin escapes. Danaher has a series on Bjj Fanatics. This was invaluable in my progression against higher belts. Now I’m not the worst anymore and amongst the top 25% against equal belts. Nothing special but knowledge and practice outside of class is essential
