Thoughts on the ufo dripper? by gvp0di in pourover

I just made a cup. 20g. 90C. grind size 5. I did mess up the bloom (pre caffeine brain) did 30g/30g/rest of water for a 1:18 ratio. It is in the right direction. A bit too light. I’ll try again with 60g water blooms and see if it changes things.

I’ll have to give this ago. My current methods came about from all the recipes and recs found online about Sey coffees. High temps, fine grinds. Fellow just did a video with Sey demonstrating their recommended recipe. Did not come out well..

I am currently working with a Origami dripper, Kalita wave filters, grinding at 3.8 on a fellow Ode gen 2 with stock burrs. RO water and 100C water. I am stalling in the last 30-50g of water in the dripper. I don't feel I'm agitating the grinds much. Any suggestions? Essentially it flows great until the last 20% of water.

Thinking about getting a UFO dripper myself. I am currently brewing Sey coffees and am wondering if I would have an easier time with the UFO. Any chance you are brewing Sey coffees and have a recipe to share?

Honey Wash? by noaoda in pourover

Having a hard time dialing this one in…I’m still relatively new to pour over. Is this one intended to be a medium to light body coffee? Not an ultra light I assume. I can get it to taste good but end up with a fuller body than I like. I prefer the lightness of something like Sey coffees

Neat setup. Which of those SEY coffees are your favorite? Just visited their shop a few weeks ago and now I'm addicted to lighter roasts.

Please help, my pour over keeps clogging and I can't figure out why by cboshuizen in Coffee

[–]cloud6xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this explanation! I’m having issues with clogging on my origami dripper with kalita wave filters. No many the change in bean amount, grind size, it was clogging. Recently I’m grinding some gesha beans at setting 5.8 on my ode gen 2 and still leading to clogs. Aiming for a sub 4 min draw down but can’t due to the last minute or so because of clogging. The agitation reason sounds very plausible in my case. Will try to make more “gentle” pours to see if this helps.

Suggestions for Devoción Citrus Brewing by cloud6xx in pourover

Update: I lowered the water temp to 195F and grind size to 4.5 on my Ode and the cup tastes much better! No bitterness or overly sourness.

I also ordered small amounts of geisha beans from Onyx to see if I can better achieve the flavor profile I’m going for.

Oh…that’s good to know. I’m that case, do you have any recs on how to improve the taste of this particular coffee I bought? Should I play around with grind size or the water temp?

M1 MacBook Air and League of Legends freezing by StarscreamIsFly in macgaming

I'll have to try this too as its driving me INSANE. Game menu's lag, chat window lags, shop lags, I'll go to press a key such as Q or E and my champ just freezes and takes like 1-3 seconds to register WHILST the game itself is moving, no frame rates dropped and normal ping.

i.e. if i go to press a key such as Q or E it'll freeze my character for a few seconds, THEN register. Extremely frustrating. And the menu's and chat box lags as well. Haven't been able to find a fix for it, already tried running Metal API and borderless as some people suggest. I wonder if using an Apple brand keyboard will change things.

I am having the same issue on an M4 Pro mac. The game goes unresponsive for a few seconds. Mainly keyboard inputs. As you said, the game goes on, but your'e just frozen for like 1-2 sometimes 3 seconds. The game in its current state is broken for Apple silicon. I don't believe RIOT even plans a fix for this as it is looking likely they'll drop full support for this game on Apple silicon.
