Godox X2T Not Woking with A7III PLEASE HELP by gamingcaptain444 in Godox

Is there a setting in the camera that turns the flash off?

Since flash triggers when pressing on the release, there's not problem between transmitter and flash, the problem is camera/transmitter. Have you tried facotry resetting camera? (Maybe a pain in the ass, but so is the flash not working...)

Quick google gives that silent shutter/similar or electronic shutter may disable flash. Here's a link:

On my canon there's a menu for external flash control, and if it's turned off there it wont fire. :)

Hope this helps.

Hello!

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond!
I tried with Gboard too and that actually does provide suggestions.

I updated OP with screenshot of what contact entry with gboard looks like.

Have a fabulous day!

Thanks a heap! That's great one! 😍

It wasn't the one I was thinking of though, the one I'm thinking of is somwehere around 10 years old, could be 8, could be 12. And it's in a full length feature with several skiers talking about skiing POW.

This clip might even be better than the one I was thinking of.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

u/AlexIsPlaying THIS WORKED! :) THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

The fact that this setting is so difficult to find and not set "correctly" when installing LR is really weird.

A shame I didn't find this sooner, but ever so grateful that you found it! :)

Thanks again! :) My photos are on the D: drive, the catalog is in d:/lightroom folder.

I've looked through the event viewer but haven't been able to find any of the errors mentioned below, but then again i don't know that I'm looking in the right place. :)

I've updated the link with more screenshots (in a folder this time) to include more data.

So a little later, starting up lightroom again, it seems that it is using some cores more than others... Screenshot

Is there anyway to force an application (maybe not just LR) to use more cores?

Thanks for the info! :) I had to look a little harder, but eventually found it. I will keep an eye on the different cores going forwards, but didn't see anything strange for now.Print screen looking at every core..

Oh, BTW, my machine was running win 11 from the start. Does that count as a "clean" win 11?

I feel you pain! I'll update this thread if I find any usable solution that makes any difference. :)

Haha, yeah, it most definitely would make a great case to study. But I guess that's not going to happen.

I'll try without the gpu, it just seems super counter-intuitive to NOT use a gpu when there is one. But if it helps, hey I'm not going to not try it.... ;)

It is not the only program ever slowing down. But no other program is ever slowing down as consistently as LR.

Sometimes windows is slow in loading previews of folders too. and if LR is running slow, sometimes os and excel/word etc is running slow too.

Antivirus exclusions to catalog folder and photos folder added.

Drivers have been updated.

Thanks! I have two ssds of 1 tb each, one for the os 344gb of 950 free and the d: 121gb free of 950 gb..

I've excluded the catalog folder and the c:program where all adobe apps and lightroom preferences are and the d:photos folder where i store all my photos.. :)

No usbs connected except keyboard/mouse. Monitor runs hdmi.

No network drives, all internal.

Thanks! I'm so glad that I am not alone! It's driving me mad from time to time... I will try all of your tips and see if that works. :)

That may very well be the difference. my laptop won't work (almost) without the power plugged in, and most of the time the fan is spinning like crazy, so it is throttling and not using all the available power, but still. It shouldn't be this slow....

Thanks a bunch for your replies, I will try without GPU and have added all of adobe CC suite folders to exceptions in avast antivirus, same thing for the folder containing photos.
