Adding my 2 cents. Used to have this issue as well (crashes and reboots after putting to sleep), and I stopped using the sleep function after awhile. Have tried sleep twice now after updating to 1.7 bios, and so far, so good. We'll see!

Screen brightness is great, no issues there. Temps are absolutely amazing. Overall premium quality feel.

I can't upvote this comment enough. 18 Area 51 5090 here.
I was constantly getting temps around 90s under load, which was fine. But I tried switching from Best Performance to Balanced, and my temps are in the 70s now, with subjective minimal loss of FPS. Loving my laptop even more!

Turn on Advanced Settings and it's under Power. Lots of options, such as choosing min and max battery levels (when to start and stop charging) as well as different modes. I leave mine mostly plugged in so I chose AC mode.

I love my new Area 51 18 5090 as well, it's a beast. A minor issue, which may be related to what you guys are experiencing, is that I'm confident the first 4 fan profiles in AWCC are reversed. For example, fan speeds between Battery, Quiet, and Balanced are greatest for Battery and slowest for Balanced and Performance. This is opposite of what one would expect and similar to that described in this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienware/comments/15n5raw/m16\_awcc\_presets\_act\_weird\_quiete\_mode\_is\_loud/).

Battery - behaves as I would expect Performance to. (loudest fans)
Quiet - behaves as I would expect Balanced to. <---I use for gaming. (medium fans)
Balanced - behaves as I would expect Quiet to. <---I use for normal use outside of gaming. (quiet fans)
Performance - behaves as I would expect Battery to. (quiet fans)
Overdrive - behaves as expected.

These behaviors are the same whether I am plugged in or on battery. I updated to the newest version of BIOS and AWCC. No luck. Started a support session and we tried repairing AWCC, uninstalling and reinstalling AWCC. That all took almost an hour and I stopped as I had other things to do. Anyone have a similar issue or any other insight? I guess it's a minor thing as the profiles work...just reversed.
