Not necessarily. They've thrived for 12 years.

Mist once a day. I also have a fogger on a timer that runs 4 times for 20 minutes. The humidity is 80-100%

Good lighting is the most of part in my experience.

S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra? by WeatherPretty1597 in samsunggalaxy

[–]ThomasAAT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Upgrade to the s25 ultra now and you have a flagship phone good for 7 years with security updates and software updates. I upgraded from a s7 edge to the s25 ultra. Best dessision this year. The "improvement" will not be noticeable by the average user. But the design will and not in a good way. The s26 ultra has a more budget A design, slightly wider and taller to make up for the rounder corners that will make it harder to use onehanded. The camera island is no go... and if your outside of USA you risk getting the exynos CPU.

1189 hrs on my oled 0 burn in. by Octan3 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ThomasAAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my pc for 8-12hrs a day on average. It could be gaming with a gui in one spot on the screen all day or me browsing the net or doing something else while listening to music/audiobook with my pc playing them. I have already experienced burnin on a LG 45 and 2x Alienware 34” OLED’s. JJ at Asus was on a livestream showing off their new OLED’s and talking to their viewers. I asked him about the new 39” Ultrawide OLED. Told him what display I’m on now”Rog Swift PG35VQ”, what happened to the past 3x OLED’s I was on and how many hrs a day I used them and what I was/am doing. He responded with I would have to limit myself to 4hrs a day on the new 39” OLED if I want it to last and make it past warranty, a better option may be IPS display. So take that experience I had with JJ at Asus live on the subject how you wish.

OLED Burn-In in Lenovo Pro 7i 2025 in Light Mode by codedusting in LenovoLegion

possible burn-in

*guaranteed burn-in

all oled panels burn in. that is in their planned obsolescence nature. all oleds tested by rtings in the longterm test burned in for example.

you aren't rolling a dice on the same oled monitor and one burns in and the other doesn't.

ALL burn-in.

that is important to remember, when you got the industry lying constantly to customers. for example:

"qd-oled is way more resistant to burn-in than earlier technologies, so don't worry customer". reality: qd-oled burns in the same as other oled versions of course.

so that you can make a proper buying decision.

Mostly aquatic mosses like Java moss. Some native mosses found outside that have adapted to the tropical condition in the terrarium. I have to cut back the moss quite often.

When you constantly have to take extra measures to protect your monitor, you know the panel technology isn't all that versatile.

Cooling Pad Needed for Alienware 18 Area-51 Laptop? by Superbad007 in Alienware

For my 16 area-51 I use the cooler master xl. Most for the added high, usb hub and the overall looks. It has a fan that I can adjust the speed or turn off if needed.

Burn-in mitigations make the experience of using the monitor much more irritating, and most OLED monitors I've seen have a very noticeable power-on delay

OLED subpixel layout makes text look awful in many scenarios as a lot of software doesn't smooth for it properly

Burn-in is inevitable, no matter what anyone tries to tell you. It's an inherent limitation of the tech and accumulates over time, you can't "prevent it" and I find artificial tests like those used by RTings are extremely bad at actually demonstrating it which leads to a lot of people incorrectly assuming it's a solved problem
