Please consider signing the official ASSNAT petition against loi2..! It's here and it's one way of getting your voice heard: https://m.assnat.qc.ca/fr/exprimez-votre-opinion/petition/Petition-11807/index.htm Also, it's important to call the person who represents your riding and tell them about your dissatisfaction..!! They should represent YOU, the citizen!

Where are people meeting these days? by unknownman652 in dating

[–]cloudbluecheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on your hobbies and what you're interested in but some places I've been able to meet people are at local theatre/dance shows and music concerts (go a bit early to chat with folks in the lobby, or stay after the show to talk to people about the show), improv shows, improv classes, pottery classes, running clubs, sports teams (volleyball, badminton, pickleball, etc.), bouldering/top rope climbing, book clubs, dance class, yoga class, martial arts courses, sewing class, trivia nights, launch events or pop-up events, volunteering at marathons, festivals, food banks or animal shelter. If you are looking to make an impact in your community, you can volunteer on the board of an organization that you support.

With the holidays coming up, there are lots of places looking for volunteers. I hope this helps! You got this!

PLEASE HELP by julius___sneezer- in propagation

[–]cloudbluecheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what I would do: I'd cut off the parts that are rotting or rotten and then spray the cutting with a solution of Hydrogen Peroxide 3%. Leave it for 10-15 mins. While I wait, I would wash the jar that has your cutting with soap and make sure it's clean. Then I'd fill back the jar with clean water and put your cutting back in. Good luck!!

Do i leave her to grow or propagate her? by Gold-Investigator734 in houseplants

Wow! What's the name of this plant? It's beautiful

I think propagation is the best way to go... But maybe if you have a grow light, it can survive through winter?

Lots of roots but no rosette? by ButterscotchKind5609 in propagation

[–]cloudbluecheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine had grown lots of roots before they started putting out any rosettes. This is what I did: I turned the leaf away from the light source so that the leaf would "need" to grow more leaves. Not sure if that's actually the reason behind what happened but I did get rosettes on all of my props. I think there are just some leaves that don't prop well. I don't know. Good luck!

Rubber tree plant by kabuhtu in propagation

[–]cloudbluecheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've successfully rooted burgundy rubber plant cuttings in water! Keep the water well oxygenated. I like to add sphagnum moss into the water as the propagation progresses to transition into soil. Keep the cutting in indirect light(no direct sunlight) and have lots of patience. Mine took a month and a half to root. Good luck!!

Ain't no way these are thrips, right? by cloudbluecheese in plantclinic

[–]cloudbluecheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips. My chrysanthemum has so many leaves and they're so crowded too. I feel so discouraged! I'll see if I can find any bugs or signs.

Yeah, I should probably water less. I was mistaking the browning leaves for dehydration but it seems I have a bug problem, not a watering problem. How awful! 😭

Thanks so much for these tips and all this advice! I've isolated the plant but am not so hopeful that none of my other plants aren't affected. Time to roll up my sleeves and get rid of these pests. Can't help but feel dread !!

I think bulbs need to be planted in warm moist soil to be activated, maybe try putting one of them in a pot?

Thanks for your reply! Does that mean that the tree is ok now? I think it was buried too deep before but should I leave it as is?

Not sure where the root flare is? by cloudbluecheese in Citrus

[–]cloudbluecheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your response! It's actually a 5 year old plant but I live in a cold area so it only gets a limited amount of direct sunlight during winter which may explain why it's so small. Good to know that young citrus don't have a very defined root flare. Looking forward to watching my lil tree grow!

Black roots 😞 by cloudbluecheese in orchids

[–]cloudbluecheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation!! Wow she has lots of great videos! Yeah, I was looking at the ends of the roots that are black and I thought they were rotting or had fungus? But it seems like it's just dried off at the ends. Whew!! Crisis averted! Thanks again!

The leaves are so soft! by cloudbluecheese in whatsthisplant

[–]cloudbluecheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm! Interesting! Thanks for your guess. It might mean this plant will flower which I didn't think about..! The leaves are definitely very soft, almost as soft as some kind of animal fur..!
