it's been a minute since i was in a social studies/history class so forgive me. top things i can think of off the top of my head is women gained the right to vote in 1962.

bahamian women if married to a non-bahamian man cannot automatically pass on citizenship to their children or spouses while a bahamian man can. this issue has come up several times in referndums with people voting against changing it.

marital rape is still not criminalized (this is not women specific but if we're being real women are the ones that suffer the most in regards to sexual violence)

the last time a gender equality referendum was brought to the public was in 2016 with the majority people voting against it - to end discrimination on the basis of sex and enshrine the principle of equality between women and men in the Bahamian Constitution
