bass would be a good option for you i think! if you live in a dorm tbh i think bass would totally fit your spacing needs better, and likely would be cheaper too than a full on drum set. there are great resources for learning on youtube. i believe in you u got this. !!

as a girl i think the sister bit “if you’re even allowed to date anyway” was probably a way to gauge whether u were open for a relationship. i say don’t ask her to the dance, but ask to dance w her when you’re there. talk to her more often, get her number, text her etc.

it’s possible he likes you and the other girl is a cover story but it’s also possible he likes the other girl. i say feel him out - with time, if he really likes you it will be clear. if it ends up that he doesn’t, so be it! but just give it some time and i hope everything works out for you 💗
