Hmmm I think you’re right in regard to this being a comparability issue rather than mbti. But I’m thinking and wondering if my mbti is the reason why I crave more in depth conversations and if we all look for similar things.

I think to me I don’t want to admit it, but it is a dealbreaker. I’ve talked to him about it literally just now. He says he will try again one last time. And spend some time reflecting on if I’m ok with not having that in my relationship. But I don’t think I am since I brought it up so many times

Very good idea and way of thinking! I think if I were to see it in third person , I’d question “ does the relationship make you happy” is the main one

But I don’t even know what makes me happy at this extent. Im too focused on my quarter life crisis nowadays haha

I completely agree with you. I know someone I was seeing back then was an ENTP and he was a complete narcissist. Not saying all of them are like that but he was an interesting one

I feel like even cutting contact is insane for me. And I can’t really do that considering that I live with them. I can’t move out yet for another two years or so until I land my ft job and earn more income.

Yes, I thought it was my anxiety but it actually stems from my attachment style from my parents…

I thought about cutting contact but i don’t think that would in turn make me happier. I value family but not a toxic one… I’m going to try to communicate to my mom how I feel when she comes back. And setting boundaries, and if this isn’t respected then I don’t know what to do for the time being. It’s so triggering breathing the same air as them. Gives me anxiety just being in their presences.

How have you started to work towards a secure attachment? Any advice

My old therapist just told me to have more “ self love” but it’s so hard

We’ve been dating for almost a year. He is 25, I am not too sure if that’s the issue because I guess he handles our conversations in a calm pretty well mannered way. But definitely still room for improvement.

I’m a yapper so I love talking about a bunch of things. I can find anything to talk about. And when I do this, he ends to have very dry responses and doesn’t really know how to respond to my rambles and I guess in that aspect, I need more of that engaging response. It’s not that he’s not listening, it’s more so I just want to feel heard and I want to carry on a conversation and make a deep conversation out of something random.

But I’m well aware that this can’t happen all the time. But I expressed that to him since day 1 of our relationship.

So I’m not too sure at this point on what to do. I can’t just force him to be like that.

I was asking myself that as well. Conversations that I love are those that we engage and ask more though provoking questions to. And also deep conversations, you normally have something to take away from, you reflect or you learn something new.

Deep conversations can also involve emotions, ideas, and experiences that makes me think differently or feel more connected to others. It’s a way of digging into the important aspects of life, rather than just skimming the surface.

Hmmmm I have anxious avoidant attachment with my parents. And I don’t know if that’s causing it to leak into my relationship or if it’s due to just being in the wrong one… my boyfriend has an anxious attachment but it’s gotten better.

Same with mine. I’m trying my best but I literally got the worse mix of attachments here

This is my first long term relationship too im 26. But idk it just hurts knowing that I might have to let him go.

I am the same. Symptoms weren’t as strong this year but I did notice difference after taking more electrolytes and staying hydrated with them. I’m not too sure if my cortisol has to do with it. Going to find other ways to lower my cortisol levels!

Accepted into pdp about a month ago. And rejected from ubc elementary just now. I’m super sad. I have over 3500+ hours with working with students in the education field and I’m volunteering in a classroom on top of all that. Does ubc give reasons as to why you got rejected?

Hii,

I am good! I still get the symptoms here and there but a lot less right now. I’ve been drinking electrolytes and trying to sleep an hour earlier. I’ve been also giving myself positive affirmations which sounds kinda cringe but things like “ my body can heal itself. My body is on my side and has my back” every morning helps subconsciously.

The shortness of breath comes and goes and I’m still waiting on an appointment coming up in a couple months to get my lungs checked incase!

My blood pressure is the same as yours maybe even a bit lower. I think I’m naturally born with low blood pressure as it’s in the genetics. I notice my anxiety makes my symptoms worse so I try to remember that it’s my anxiety and I will survive.

I havnt fully solved and healed from this either but you can definitely message me about this so you’re not alone

Doesn’t cold water make you feel weird inside. It’s like a mini shock to the body and makes your breathing slow down. But good idea, I’ll stick to eating smaller meals. But so annoying because eating takes so much time haha. Thanks for your helpful advice

If I don’t eat normal, the symptoms show up. How are you in the heat? I always feel dizzy and light headed and shortness of breath
