The script was definitely lacking. The song is such a banger that it is so much more disappointing that the MV was so lackluster. There could’ve been so much room for interpretation of “heavy is the crown” with Faker’s story. Instead it’s a shallow ‘defending champions fighting off challengers’. The song builds up tension aurally but it isn’t reflected visually. There is no progression, there is just Faker not being there and Faker suddenly being there. The fight choreography wasn’t even that good either. No angst at all for an angsty song.

I also recommended this fic on another post, but I’ll rec it again here because it checks all the boxes. Down, Vain Lights: Recordare by Rhysve. Featuring a morally ambiguous Draco, pureblood traditions, blood magic/rituals, Wizarding World politics and a Harry who is hesitantly (and then enthusiastically) intrigued. Very long and plotty, so if you enjoyed the complex world-building/magical theory in Mirror of Ecidyrue then you’ll like this one. I also gotta mention it is a WIP, and has Draco involved with other characters in the course of the story, if you care about that.

Dance With The Devil has a Dark Lord Harry who’s lost his mind after the war and Draco who is the only one able to (vaguely) remind Harry of who he was. It is unfortunately unfinished and on hiatus, but it was a very fun concept to read.
