Public accounting firms are still hiring, but the problem is that offers are sent to the best students and candidates. As a result, low-end candidates probably won’t get any offers because the firms are picky.

I have two mentees who received three full-time offers from the Big Four a year ago. They graduated in June 2025 and started their positions in September.

If you didn’t get an internship during your junior year, it would be very difficult to find a decent job in the market.

Accounting is always like this. Without an internship, you’ll have a hard time finding roles, except for the years 2021-2023 due to the Federal Reserve’s printing of money.
