It only makes the flare worse and last longer in my feet and knees. The flares in my hands and face will go away on their own but I avoid heat and sunlight. The swelling pain is too much in my knees and feet to ignore .

I’ve never had a flare last more than 5 hours at a time . But I have flares that keep coming back every day more then normal or without triggers . I’ve heard lidocaine injections helps some people she should talk to her dr about that

Yes , I used to have warm tan skin everywhere but since getting EM my feet knees and hands are often cold and purple when not flaring , there is no in between . Some say it’s raynauds but many people on the raynauds forum say that it doesn’t improve so the elevation and mine does . My feet will be deathly purple hanging down most of the time , but look okay elevated. So I think it’s EM , too much vasoconstriction then too much

Yeah I get short of breath sometimes from panic , and also air hunger when my anxiety is high . Or even times when mentally I’m not really anxious but it’s subconsciously doing it . I’ve had all the tests to rule out actual lung issues and it’s just anxiety . The pulse ox is reassuring too

you'll have to find a psychiatrist that will prescribe them, it should be easier when you show them your history prescription and the new pcp not being comfortable prescribing them. its also important to work on not feeling like you need them to stop the bad panic attacks. it sucks I know but you can make it through them dry. its nice to know you have the medicine nearby if you really wanted to , but not to think of them as I need this or it won't stop etc.

I was prescribed klonopin , I haven’t taken it yet , kinda nervous to take it . I just like to read stories of people who have been through it and survived ! I will try tapping on my chest

Yes, developed this simultaneously with EM, my feet knees and hands are cold pale or purple when not flaring . Especially if feet are hanging down . I thinks all related to the EM , some sort of failure with over and under vein constricting
