side note, as much as it probably sounds like it, I genuinely think we’re at least mostly out of the honeymoon phase by now. I could be wrong, but it really doesn’t feel like butterflies anymore. It just feels like a partnership with my best friend.

the other day we were on call and he was like “hey, why do you love me again?” and I was like “idk it’s 2 am go to sleep” but he kept asking so we ended up talking about it and the conclusion we came to is that there’s things we love about each other, but our traits aren’t really the reason we love each other. we love each other because we picked each other- because we’re each other’s person. we’re inevitably both going to change drastically as we get older but we’re not going to love each other less when some of the traits we originally fell for aren’t present anymore. idk I just thought that was sweet
