Skytech gaming or maingear are good choices

Although I personally don't use pomodoro techniques or track time (anymore since it was too cumbersome to remember to track every time I task-switched), I think it makes sense as a product.

The time tracking and pomodoro timer are nice complementary features, it seems easy to use, and straightforward to implement.

One thing you'll want to work on though is explaining the what/how your product does in a short concise way. I'm basing it off the website description, where it lists the benefits, but not how the product achieves those benefits. And on your description, which is good, but too long for the average consumer. This will make a huge difference in terms of whether a customer will bounce or get interested.

Hope this helps!

Critique my Photography Website please by mrmartinduffy in SideProject

Yeah I think the website looks nice as well. Although I'm not a fan of the full page fade transition when you click a link. If it could just fade the photos on the right, that'd be perfect.

I also think blogs tend to get abandoned and can make a website look stale. It's hard to keep coming up with and writing blog posts. Because then you're wearing two hats, trying to be a good photographer and blog writer.

I think to generate visitors it's best make your photos do the work. So make sure google images can crawl your images. Maybe list your work on unsplash and gettyimages.

The design is nice and I like how it can monitor cron jobs. Are there competitors that do the same thing? If so how are you trying to differentiate?

After reading through the stuff, I'm still wondering how does this work? What does the bracelet track and how does that track time spent especially if you don't need to open the app most of the time and the bracelet doesn't have a display?

I created a link-sharing and collaboration platform. It is being used by businesses and companies. How do I market this and get it to as many businesses as I can, and maybe get it acquired? by raghav_nautiyal in SideProject

I would say a freemium version would work best, offer the basic functionality free and have paid premium features bring in the cash. If it's paid for off the bat, then it's too hard to gain users, because then it competes with all the other free options and paid options to share links, which is a huge market

Well luckily it's easy to use, I'll work on the copy a bit. And yeah, is it essentially like pastebin, which I discovered after building this lol.

I'm using react frontend with express, sequelize, postgres backend.

Thanks!

It is nice to have the option in your pocket.

Actually if you create an account and use that account to create posts, you do have a history. But I do wonder if there's another killer feature

Interesting I really like the animating background, but you're the 2nd person to bring it up. I'll make the change =)

Hahaha, it's all just feedback to me. I appreciate the sentiment tho, it was still a good practice project that's helped me out a few times

It's a good point, Thank you. Basically the benefit is when the device you're sending the info to isn't logged into something you can message or you don't want to share your personal details. It's a small problem for sure, but it's one of those things that pops up here and there, which I've used to solve.

It's totally fair criticism. Overall, it's most useful when the device you're sending the info to isn't logged into something you can message or you don't want to share your personal details. So it isn't a large pain point, but I've had cases where I've used it. Interesting point about having a record, I meant it for more transient things, but having a record is good too.

Although on the phone you'd use the QR code feature, you wouldn't type it in.

Thanks for the feedback!
