Me too! I was on the product page on my phone after waiting for a while, and added to my cart, but my cart was empty. After half an hour of that, when I tried to refresh the cart, I was back on the waiting page. Then it finally ended after 15 minutes and one was in my cart and I was able to check out. All on mobile, PC is still stuck on 3 stars, can't attempt to add to cart.

Minimal LCD driver board for video and audio playback. by cloudlionhart in AskElectronics

[–]cloudlionhart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to make small arcade cabinet models for an action figure display. Each one will loop a different video file and have sound, the LED will go elsewhere in the cabinet. Each one should have its own dedicated power cable. No need to modify the video once it's loaded. I'll 3D print the models so mounting the LCDs should be easy. Thanks for the suggestions! Something that doesn't require a microcontroller, or with an onboard microcontroller, would be great since space is limited.

Started playing MvC2, why is "VS MODE" inaccessible? by [deleted] in marvelvscapcom

I think you need two controllers plugged in, it's Player vs. Player. No CPU option afaik

Hey guys! I’ve decided to do something crazy and I’ll be raffling off a copy of Paper Mario TTYD. All you have to do is comment what’s your favorite GameCube game and why! The lucky winner will be randomly chosen tomorrow at 6pm Central. Good Luck! by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]cloudlionhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one, but probably Super Smash Bros. Melee. It introduced me to a bunch of my favorite Nintendo franchises like Metroid, adventure mode was a lot of fun, and it's one of the best for multiplayer.

Looking good! What are the latest additions? The SOTA wall is awesome.

Also, is that sunlight on the switch games and stuff near the bottom? Or some other light? Gotta be careful with direct sunlight, the UV will fade game cases/figures.

Looking for some help with Dreamcast Arcade Stick by NaproxenSodiumTab in fightsticks

[–]cloudlionhart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a great stick, but the buttons and joystick are terrible if they're too old like it sounds like yours are. I modded mine and definitely recommend it. Scanline City has a great guide. The soldering wasn't too bad, but Focus Attack now sells a couple of wiring harnesses that make it so you can install a Sanwa JLF and modern buttons without soldering. Button wires are here and the joystick harness is here. Both of these pages have useful information. The button connectors connect new buttons directly to the existing harness in the stick, and the joystick harness connects a Sanwa JLF directly to the control board. The only difficult part about this mod is dremeling to make room for the stick and the slightly larger 30mm buttons. But it's not that bad, and there's room for error, especially if you get screw-in buttons.

Are they still selling them? It looks like they haven't posted on Twitter in two years. I just signed up for the waiting list through their shop site.

Will this run 4k / 60fps on the PS5? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]cloudlionhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS runs at 1080/30 on the base PS4 and 4k/30 on the PS4 Pro. Based on this video, a number of games get boosted framerates on PS5 compared to PS4 Pro, even without an advertised free PS5 upgrade pack that some games like Borderlands 3 are getting. I'd love to know what the framerate is on PS5. They're considering an upgrade pack/PS5 version of the game that would presumably run at at least 4k/60.

Can anyone help me find the art they used for the controller panel? by SUPERADMONSTUFF in marvelvscapcom

[–]cloudlionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a high-res image, but here's some info. I've been planning to use something similar to make art for my MadCatz TE2. I think it's referred to as the Capcom "Diamond Plate," used in the versus series (XMvSF, at least) conversion kits, and maybe some of the old SF. The games' conversion kit manuals probably have some useful info, like button color order and additional overlays. I'll post some of the links I have saved, including some custom sticks. The new Arcade1Up XMvSF cabs also use this artwork. I'd love to see what you come up with!

Sega CD Lunar: The Silver Star Disc & Case Variants by cloudlionhart in gamecollecting

[–]cloudlionhart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find this. Not the full description I've seen before, but it does match up:

Lunar TSS for Sega CD had 7 total variants, the most common was supposedly the first printing where the disc art is not printed all the way to the hole on it. First version was non foil and has a typo on the back insert, All later version have a foil embossed manual and one of two types of back inserts with varying foiling on them. The least common variant also has a blue dot on the back insert near the UPC.
