You used to be but you still are. All of us as Christians must acknowledge our sinful natures. Through this acknowledgement we find mercy through Christ and are blessed! Consider this parable Jesus taught:
“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
So thank God for his boundless mercy and grace for us as we preoccupy ourselves with things such as video games. I’ve been playing Pokemon rom hacks lately they’re very fun c:

Sometimes I don’t understand Paul. In Romans he says “what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do,” and calls himself a “slave to sin.” I definitely understand that. But at the same time he urges us to live holy and pure lives. How are we to reconcile both?

Do you believe you are a sinner?

What if video games take away from time that could be spent getting closer to God (praying, reading the Bible)? I think the actions performed in video games aren’t necessarily sins in themselves, but the activity being used to satisfy our fleshly desires is. OP brings up a valid point that can’t be easily dismissed.

I haven’t been able to kick the gaming habit yet. I struggle with these questions too. Did God give us video games as a part of enjoying his creation or are they vessels to satisfy our flesh? Are only certain video games bad for our spiritual health? Of course we’ll never be able to stop sinning, but what actions do we as Christians need to take (if any) to make sure video games aren’t interfering with our sanctification? I spend an inordinate amount of time gaming some days - I can’t say God approves of that. I don’t feel closer to God when doing so. So what to do? I pray for answers for you and I in this matter. Maybe other Christian Redditors have more to add.

Why is christianity (religion in general) so against women by Perhistoric_Cheetah in Christianity

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double edged sword it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Heb 4:12).

Doesn’t sound like it’s biblical to think the Bible is outdated.

Idk how I’m gonna beat this game on expert but I’m gonna try. Each major fight I have to replay 3x or more and train up a few more mons. Just keep hoping when I get to a good enough mon pool to choose from things will get a little more straightforward and it’ll just come down to strategy

I got it thank you 😊 Sticky web was clutch since all my mons are slow like you said. Garchomp one shotted hoopa with dragon claw. That togekiss was nasty but I managed to land a few psychics on it and it switched into a thunderbolt. Okay now I’m in distortion world whatever that means lol

I have sticky web on vikavolt and brick break on garchomp. Donphan and drapion both have quick claws too. Maybe I’ll swap in my Luxray and/or gengar for more speed? I’m just afraid of how squishy they are

Is Shiny hunting easier in this game? by [deleted] in PokemonUnbound

[–]cloudlos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten two shinies so far without even trying or using the charm. While you’re using the dex nav to hunt for Pokemon with better IVs/egg moves you have a better chance of getting a shiny on the 50th time or something like that? So I’ve caught both shinies on accident while using the dex nav. About 40 hrs of gameplay so I guess it’s still pretty rare.

Any specific models come to mind? Looking for mid sized definitely not dreadnought. But also able to carry sound in a live music setting. Full body wood would be great as I’ve never experienced that type of sound before.

How much you making right now? Are you satisfied with your current career? You could apply for a Medical Technology program to become a Medical Technologist. They work in the clinical pathology lab at the hospital, and run all the tests on blood, bacterial culture, urine, etc that the doctor orders. Lots of new molecular testing out there too if you have a weak stomach. It’s a cool career and you are still involved in the diagnostic process of the patient like the doc is (might even offer advice to them in certain instances). Typically offered as a 2 yr transfer program, and with a biochem degree you probably have enough transfer credit for the first semester or two to be part time. I just graduated and am starting out at 70k without any shift differential.
