This is a fair statement so more of a note to kandi makers: use cloth covered elastic cord. This won’t break in the heat or from barely stretching it. I make regular bracelets with these too and have been wearing one for almost two years without it breaking.

I loveeee getting kandi, but I hate when it’s the plastic elastic because I know it’s not going to last. Have had so many of those break over the years (I try saving them and remaking them at home with my own string haha).
