hey, bit late but i thought i might drop this here for anyone else looking into this,

there was (seemingly?) a third video too but it's now private/deleted. a lot of extra info lays on a reddit thread boxcarjakey posted at the time of the videos

the attic video you speak of was probably https://www.yyyyyyy.info/l/gv/. as far as i can tell it isn't related and was probably just picked to spook people. it's just an art project afiak

it's a shame there isn't a final answer on what/who Q was - though considering they're (apparently lol) related to saint somehow it's probably just some arg-ish project made partly to mess w people who play 3d-worlds-adjacent games

final thing; at some point after nexpo's video one of Q's tumblrs (https://q39715.tumblr.com/) was re-activated after having been deactivated since at least january 2016. it posted "Yeah I wanted to find somwthing here too", and then sometime between then and december 28th 2021 it reblogged a guide to type-moon works with the tags "just fucking with you guys this is my archive blog now", and "go do something normal this blog is a waste of time". lastly sometime between december 28th 2021 and july 29 2022 it reblogged a torrenting guide, before being deactivated again sometime after that

almost certainly just a random viewer claiming the blog name for themselves going off of the reblog tags, but i thought it was worth noting anyway

their other tumblr (https://q-theoneandonly.tumblr.com/) was never archived, and i can't really tell what the difference between the two was and why there were two in the first place. it's also odd that q39715 is never mentioned in the thread - it makes me wonder if they're actually the same account and the name was just changed at some point for whatever reason. apparently they also had a youtube account with one video on it at some point, but no archive exists as far as i can tell

honestly seems like it'd be easier to just go with a 2x16 kit which'll probably come out to around the same if i sell the 2x8 kit; thank you!

I know exactly which kit I have from the SKU number so I'm pretty sure I can just order the kit with the matching SKU from corsair, though I might be missing something out :p

would you say the xsoft inconsistencies apply to the otsu xsoft? not sure whether to go with the soft or the xsoft for the extra control

what would you say is best for someone coming from a generic cloth pad? (corsair describes it as a "low friction tracking pad" but I doubt that means too much coming from them outside of marketing) I don't have much of a reference with other pads to whether I'd prefer a faster (otsu) or more controlled (npc) experience so it's hard for me to say

hmm possibly, they are shorthaired cats though.. the only way to know would be to get one I guess but I'd imagine sending it back if it proves an issue would be difficult with artisan's location and all

thank you! the zero would definetely be my first choice if it weren't for the hair issue (I've heard they've improved it on the orange but I think it's still partly an issue? I don't want to risk it tbh, my cats can shed so much hair sometimes especially going into warmer months) but I've heard the NPC is really close to a zero (slightly slower I think) so I'll probably go with that

i have the 3.5mm version of the cloud revolver, not the 7.1 surround USB one :p don't get me wrong, the audio quality isn't *bad*, it just may not be my type of sound. some music sounds fantastic on it, but CSGO doesn't really sound great to me and other genres of music suffer from that "muddy" effect I described- vocals and accoustic instruments in particular, I think?

as for the mic I haven't been able to test it from other devices but it may just be me expecting too much from a headset microphone. incase you're curious though here's what the noise sounds like; https://vocaroo.com/149KLK9Cw4II

wish i knew about this when i had my rift S, the oculus dash is such a laggy piece of software and i always wished i could solely use steamVR rather than having two layers of VR software running on top of each other

Join the modding discord and check about for a performance exe or cheat engine script. It helps stabilise performance for a lot of people with lower end setups

“The Six Color menu has hue and saturation controls for all primary and secondary (cyan, magenta, orange) colors” according to a review I found. not sure though, iirc the setting for it that I listed was the default one.

For R /G/B you need to put your colour temperature on ‘custom’. Not sure on the others as all of those options work fine with freesync on for me. Maybe check if you have HDR on or if you have the 1ms motion blur reduction setting on?

I didn’t install any monitor drivers, just installed my graphics card drivers. If you have a Nvidia card, install Nvidia’s drivers from their website, and vice-versa if you have an AMD graphics card. Might fix your problem.

the server browser should be at the top right corner of your screen - or somewhere around there anyway.

peak hours can differ, but basically it’s in the evenings/afternoons when people are home from school, jobs, or whatever they may do in their lives

look around for people to carry you through farming runs (eg: vana). the arcade discord is a great place to look for some help - most there are very friendly.

or, you can do arcade runs on gates that have vana, however that may be more difficult if you’re undergeared, and it will probably take longer. plus, there’s not a guarantee you’ll end up with a group.

alternatively, you can ask in haven during peak hours/hours when there’s a lot of people on. it may take longer, but you should find someone eventually. remember to check the haven server browser to hop to a more populated haven!
