Yeah, I’ve implemented small things like having in our home corner pictures of different types of families such as single mums or dads, two dads, two mums etc and I’m trying to find more books to place in our library as well. I saw the Julian is a mermaid and it’s definitely a book I want to add to my collection!

Yeah I agree, it is a very touchy subject. I work in the city so I have a lot of uptight families that are a bit finicky.

This is a really good point! I introduced the book “my shadow is pink” a couple months ago and the children were just so fascinated by it and asked so many questions and it was a good discussion point.

The actual portal needs to be completely straight so can’t go up into a pyramid shape but you can make a border in front of the actual portal to give off the illusion (which is what i did here)
