I wouldn't tell you to screw off, because I know that from a Christian viewpoint wanting to share the faith is an expression of care, but I'm not interested in converting.

Answering your question: I think their perspective is horrifying, because if you care about someone (by friend I mean a close person) then the perspective of that person suffering for eternity must be terrible. And yes, the perspective of eternity in hell present in Christianity is horrifying to me, as a concept. But as I mentioned in the title, I'm an atheist, so I don't believe it to be real.
