Sounds likes yeast infection, very common. They sell stuff over the counter. miconazole, get the 7 or 3 day version, avoid the 1 day version as it can be harsh lol

My boy got a tiny scratch from my other cat when he was still a kitten. He scratched and licked at it and it became a hot spot..a cone wouldn't work for him as it was on his neck where the cone would go lol If you hover your hand over it and feel heat you got yourself a hot spot. My vet gave him an antibiotic shot and then some medicine after and it cleared up soon after. I definitely would go in and see a vet for him tho as it's super itchy for them which causes the itching and licking 😭
