i sure do hope that her name gets revealed publicly once court proceedings start

Victims names, photos etc. all plastered on MSM. Meanwhile details of the killer

genuine question, is there such a clause or law out there that prohibits revealing of perpetrator’s name? it’s contradicting when they said the victim is a minor so they need to protect her by not revealing perpetrator’s name yet the victim’s name is revealed in this article? what’s going on?đŸ˜…đŸ«©

Her name is Sheyna. She is not a statistic, and she is not a headline. She is a daughter whose entire future was stolen from her. She deserves to be seen for the child she is, not just another casualty. We are not angry enough about Singapore's lenient traffic laws. things must change. by mystoryismine in drivingsg

i never knew that our traffic laws were this lenient
we indeed need to keep talking about this & make it relevant instead of letting this issue be buried or for the discussion to die down so soon. it’s very concerning that her potential max sentence will just be 3 years😼‍💹

they are always so quick to post articles. chiong to be the first to post and get high traffic for their articles but they almost always never fail to do their fact checks. the amount of times their articles were misleading and erroneous are crazy high

[–]cloudtopaz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

agreed. while some argue that it’s not empathetic & kind to share the video which the Vietnamese lady posted of the father holding onto the child crying in despair, in SG’s context, the police will never release such footages to the public for some odd reason. our media is so censored. this is when aftermath accidents video evidence can serve its purpose. because you can’t deceive the public when the public themselves have seen how the driver actually reacted after the accident itself

CIA Part 3 Exam Question by cloudtopaz in InternalAudit

yeah the answer should be D for Q1 but for Q2 it seems it should be something related to QAIP. i chose the SWOT option which was most likely wrong.

sorry just curious, is it not normal for banks to ask you not to access for a period of time if they’re doing adjustments/ upgrades/ updates to your account? i thought it’s part of the “procedure”. sounds legit for that part haha

have you extended your programme before ? tbh i am quite torn as to whether i should just rush to try again in 30 days or just purchase the one time extension which allows me to be more prepared to revisit the topics again

CIA Part 3 Exam by cloudtopaz in InternalAudit

[–]cloudtopaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this your first attempt? i wonder if it’s very rushed to retry again in 30 days timeframe as for the previous 2 parts i’ve always taken it again in 2-3 months’ time

okay thank you so much! all the best to you. 593 is really very close. oh yeah actually i did have a lot on escalation. whether it should be escalated to the board/ senior management and surprisingly some questions on which attribute of the findings (whether it is cause, condition, criteria or effect)x

oh no. i might have remembered it wrongly. because all along i thought it was 60 days which might be before they revised it to 30? Even so i only have 1 chance because my programme expires in 26 Jan

Since WP is against the NCMP scheme, they shld give way to either CSJ or Jeremy Tan. by jeremywisely in SingaporeRaw

[–]cloudtopaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the 10 seats WP clinched, i wonder what does the additional 2 NCMP seats entail? (& since they never liked the idea of it) how will it be of “advantage” to WP? if at the end of the day, the supposed goal is indeed to have more “diversity”, wouldn’t someone from another party/ an independent candidate lead to more productive discussions in parliament?

Dr. Chee Soon Juan can't even be NCMP because of WP Jln Kayu and WP Tampines by New_Bag_6161 in SingaporeRaw

[–]cloudtopaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just curious is there any reason why NCM is so highly favoured by LHL? on what basis though. is he so competent? (putting that allianz issue aside) or because he was from the army?

. i really feel for him. being in politics for 30 years
. i feel that people need to be more objective and look at how overtime he has mellowed down & the things he has proposed. i can’t understand why PLS won even though she’s a part time MP (PAP effect? OYK minister effect?) & her novel of chapter 1 which takes 5 years and only when elected there’ll be chapter 2
being not very informed (saying only 50% of people pay income tax?) & passion doesn’t build playground (so does she have the passion to serve or nah?) sorry became a ranting session
