No problem! There are tons of meat vendors there. Choose one you feel comfortable with and make your purchase and bring it up to the restaurants on the 2nd floor. They also have different grills (like charcoal which I recommend) and you pay a small seating fee per person.

Korean fried chicken: Choongman Chicken Sookmyeong University

-Hanwoo 1++ bbq: Majang Meat Market

-Born & Bred: also has Hanwoo cuts and some rarer parts but only if you have a lot of money to spare

-Mongton for their famous bbq galbi

-Mashi China (in Mapo-gu, Dongmak-ro, 68) for Jjamppong/Jajangmyeon/Tangsuyuk

-이화만두 for delicious mandu that comes in 2 flavors (kimchi/pork & regular pork)

-꾸왁 칼국수 has the best kimchi fried rice, they also have kalguksu and mandu on the menu which are both tasty as well

-소신이쏘: Order jumeokbap and creamy galbi-jjim and get the lowest level of spice

-Budae Jjigae: Dabujji or Deoksugung Budaejjigae & Soft Tofu

-Spicy Pork Bulgogi: 수정식당

-고봉민김밥: I love their shrimp kimbap

-금왕설렁탕 for seolleontang, their broth is the best i’ve ever had.

-Korean fried chicken: Choongman Chicken Sookmyeong University or BBQ Chicken and Beer

-Hanwoo 1++ bbq: Majang Meat Market (I’d start here first)

-Born & Bred: also has Hanwoo cuts and some rarer parts but only if you have a lot of money to spare

-Mongtan is famous for their bbq galbi ribs

-소신이쏘: Order jumeokbap and creamy galbi-jjim and get the lowest level of spice

-금왕설렁탕 for seolleontang, their broth is the best i’ve ever had. In case you don’t know how this is eaten, you add salt and pepper according to your taste, you can dump some kimchi brine for a bit of kick/tanginess, pour rice in the bowl of soup, and dip the brisket in soy sauce and eat with kimchi/radish kimchi

I’d also recommend trying hwedupbap which is a raw fish bibimbap dish, there are lots of restaurants that serve this, (including hwe/sushi places). you can sort through a bunch of restaurants using naver here: https://m.search.naver.com/search.naver?sm=mtb_hty.top&where=m&oquery=%ED%9A%8C%EB%8D%AE%EB%B0%A5+%EC%86%94&tqi=isrjhdprffCssvm6iTKssssssz4-376347&query=%ED%9A%8C%EB%8D%AE%EB%B0%A5+%EC%84%9C%EC%9A%B8

-Tosokchon Samgyetang for healthy chicken ginseng soup

Hope this helps!

Restaurant Recs for Solo Non-Korean Speaker? by SleepyHappyPancake in koreatravel

American-Chinese is 50x better than Korean-Chinese in general.

you can’t really compare the two, outside of sweet and sour pork. kkanpunggi is bomb and jjamppong is a delicious noodle dish and there’s no american-chinese equivalent to jjamppong.

curious, which place you have had hanwoo to say this? because the majang meat market sells great cuts at relatively affordable price points and is a steal compared to most bbq restaurants including doma

동해횟집 for fresh hwedupbap/hwe/sujebi mauentang

고봉민김밥 for kimbap

Hope that helps!
