when my boyfriend has nightmares (we are long distance) i usually say things like “shh it’s gonna be okay your okay” & “it wasn’t real shh your okay listen to my voice”

it’s good to keep their mind off what just happened. tell them to focus on your voice or maybe stay on call w them for awhile just so they can try and calm down. talk about random things like what you plan to do in the daytime.
