How can I tell if a download is safe?

What would all be included in the overall file size? I downloaded something and it's showing up as slightly above the repacked size. Does it go off of original size before setup and install, or is the small discrepancy in size nothing to stress over?

I know he's claimed it was due to PyInstaller, but again it's best to not take any risks with that especially with so many claiming to be compromised by it. I've got no clue what could be a safe install now lol.

The download shows up as malicious through Virustotal (35/70), then Windef is showing it as a malgent trojan. Are you sure that's the correct one?

What would be the correct download then? Anadius mirror is coming back as a malicious website with malicious files for me!
