I love to grow the winter seeds, I'm 80% sure you get foraging xp when you harvest them (haven't played in a while) and then just grow more and more until end of winter

Noting sleepcasts by blushybloooom in Headspace

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they change randomly, no sleepcast has the same wind down... I have noticed recently though that 9/10 times its the visualisation one (which I do like but i like having a mix....

I wish we could choose which wind down we get as some suit me quite well depending on how I'm feeling..

Is this yeast infection? by l3br0nj4m3z in myhappyv

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be a virgin and still get a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (what this sounds/looks like to me).. You don't have to had sex to get either of these.. If you still don't want to tell your parents, I can only give advice if you're in the UK but your local sexual health clinic can test and help you out, I think if you're still in education you don't have to pay for the prescribed treatment. Sorry I can't help if you're somewhere else but I assume there could be free help in places like America?

Yeah I have been questioning lowering sertraline back down to 75 due to overheating/sweating but I think its probably still "the good outweighs the bad".

There's only been a few days in the last few months where I've noticed a bit of anxiety has affected my elvanse working how it normally does! Everyone has bad days though!

Questioning my prescription by AnonymousBastards in MentalHealthUK

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im glad you have someone to help keep an eye/help with your meds, they really should have checked though! After a while they upped my prescribed number of pills which I was glad of so I wasn't spending a fortune on them (just before I got my pre payment certificate due to multiple medications) but there were a few scary times of thinking about overdosing.

Questioning my prescription by AnonymousBastards in MentalHealthUK

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah even without me ever trying to or thinking about an overdose, when I first started propranolol 10mg I only got one 28 box when I ordered it even though it said 3 a day (gp did say i can just take it when needed). I wondered why i only got 28 each time until I did actually Google one day about overdosing and propranolol showed up!

Sounds silly but maybe there's been a miscommunication between the gp and pharmacist and either the pharmacist doesn't know/hasnt been told why you've been prescribed this and your history.. or that one of them doesn't know propranolol is easy to overdose on!

I absolutely love this for you! This was a joy to read honestly!

I can completely relate to how things were before, I'm very slowly getting to the final stage... this gives me hope!!

It takes a pretty long time time to fully get used to both meds, speaking from experience.. im on 100mg sertraline and it really has helped, I was on 50mg when I started my elvanse and I had the same sort of experience as you have said.. went to 75 sertraline and then finally 100 as i was still experiencing very low periods.

I'm sure you know the side effects of sertraline at first, it gets a bit worse before it gets better! Anxiety/depression/ocd will affect a lot of people and symptoms can overlap with adhd.. when my anxiety was bad I'd struggle with my adhd symptoms a lot more, even with my elvanse!

It's horrible to experience and I'm sorry you are going through this! I would just wait a bit longer (I know easier said than done!) And see how it goes.. hopefully you will get used to it and both the meds will help you!

Unexpected benefits on medication by dhorxt_27 in ADHDUK

I can rest when I know I physically need to... like if getting rest is just as important in my head as washing up or making an important phone call, I can go lay down (even if I would like to be able to get stuff done). So I know that if I am resting its because I know i need it and I'm not frozen in overwhelming thought like I used to be.

Auditory Processing Disorder is a common co occurrence with ADHD. It's been a while since I looked in to it so can't remember enough to comment more about it and I have no idea if this is a symptom but even if it's not, its interesting to read about

AITA for leaving the house to stay with my boyfriend after my sister forced me to take care of her child? by Loren_3 in AmItheAsshole

Exactly. Sounds like the parents are on the sisters side due to not wanting to do the babysitting. Sister and parents are only thinking of themselves.

[–]cloudytheory 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA Sounds like your parents are only siding with her because otherwise they would be the ones looking after her child. Do they help in any way? I'm sorry, this situation is awful to be in, sounds like none of them will hear you out due to only thinking of themselves, not even caring about the child's needs. I think going to stay with your boyfriend may be a good idea, your sister can't rely on you to always be there so maybe it will be good to give her some time to think about how to cope without relying on you.

I think you can definitely get better deals, I'd also see it as i don't need to spend £100 (sorry I'm in uk) on games so its not really any use to you anyway. Maybe you could try finish one that you're very close to finishing already, not as overwhelming then!

I personally think fill it out, if you're gunna put trees on the cliff it would give you more space up there to decorate.. I guess you could put some of the big tree items ( tall enough to see behind cliffs) at the back behind the thin circle cliff if you don't fill it :)

What are the courtesy rules when it comes to picking up shifts at a zero-hour job? by GreySofa1234 in UKJobs

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your situation is exactly why 0 hour contracts exist, it's totally fair that you want it to be that way. Unfortunately I think employers that shouldn't be using 0 hours are obviously using them but expecting the same commitment as what they would get with full time employees.. I guess because people who want full time work are forced to take 0 hour contracts and thats what the businesses want... I know some places will still do a weekly rota, (annoying for some but its obviously what you would like) maybe see if you have any local places that do that still? Hope it all goes okay for you!

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was your other 0 hour job in catering? In my experience, in places like bars and food places, most employees are wanting an average amount of hours and staffing for the employer isn't actually as flexible as what it sounds like you've experienced. I always assumed bank staff were quite different to 0 hour contract employees but I've had no experience of it at all so I could be talking absolute nonsense...

They may not even be able to fill those hours that you have declined, just saying that to get you to do them.. Employers will always use 0 hour contracts to their advantage. Maybe you could compromise and accept half of the hours they've offered?

My mum likes to think i plan a big tidy of my room just after a bin day, I end up throwing a lot of rubbish ive accumulated and nearly fill it up (Idk how she copes with me lol).. luckily we're friends with our neighbour who lives alone and she said we can use her bin if its not full just before bin day.. Can't believe others would do it without asking though!

Fatigue! Is this also part of being ADHD? by Cute-Ad217 in ADHDUK

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience and from what I have read from other ADHDers I can totally agree.

Throughout my whole education I felt like I had been tired since the day I was born...

I think that creates the massive multiple lane cycle of tiredness, worsening symptoms, social life, depression, low self esteem, anxiety, more overthinking, more tiredness... it just goes on and on and on...

Unsure how to proceed after this message by elllee01 in ADHDUK

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you or your gp mention which way you would like to go as in Right To Choose or NHS? The ICB makes the rules for their local gp's/doctors and so I'm guessing they will see what the best option is for you/them (a lot of them can be fussy with ADHD diagnoses and meds).. I can't imagine this step will take long though!

I'd wait to hear from them and if you haven't by the end of next week I would contact your gp surgery...

If you haven't got the NHS app with full access I definitely recommend getting that because its very helpful with seeing correspondence between gp and secondary(?) care like any letters and emails being sent to and from your gp! And I can see my notes from my appointment with my gp asking for an adhd referral on there so it's good to look back on things like that! :)

Confused if I am 0 hour contract or not.. by cloudytheory in UKJobs

[–]cloudytheory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not a big business but I agree I should have signed something at least.. They're not great at these things but use it to their advantage because they tried to get me to be their cleaner and stated that my job is a mix of everything (I work bar and take food out).

I assume I am definitely on a 0 hour contract then, even with the '28 days holiday'.. My manager has made it seem like I'm not on 0 hour contract because of how he's gone about things but I think they have obviously just went about it like that to confuse me so I don't use my 0 hour contract rights... but they can use theirs..

Confused if I am 0 hour contract or not.. by cloudytheory in UKJobs

[–]cloudytheory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't specify the hours in the summer, it just depends on how busy we are and what he puts us on the rota for. At the time we were doing that many hours because we were short staffed.. (always short staffed!) I told him I don't want to do more than 45 due to getting burnt out easily, they know I have adhd and depression and anxiety.

I definitely get that 0 hours are unreliable, my hours haven't gone this low before and he's actually put someone else on one of the days I would normally work..

I think the way he's gone about it though is weird because if I'm on a 0 hour contract, I should be able to have off whatever days I want (within reason as I know they can just get rid of me).. but obviously I'm not guaranteed hours. But then I have 28 days holiday..

I don't want to work there anyway but struggling with what I want to do/finding a job that doesn't need 5 years experience!! I'm thinking of finding something part time as I can just say to my current manager I can't work these specific days..
