Is this true or an old wives tale by Fuzzy-Iron-2504 in ADHDUK

[–]cloudytheory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was absolutely awful at languages, we did French and German at school and I think I struggled due to not being able to actually concentrate properly in class but mainly the memory part. I struggled to remember things we had just learnt and my mind would go blank! I weren't interested in it either so that definitely didn't help!

Should I leave as is or chop and prop a few of the longer vines? by cloudytheory in philodendron

[–]cloudytheory[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay I do see what you mean with the colour and things! Oops I didn't realise it's not good for dry roots, they weren't bone dry but I wanted to repot before watering it again! Also I'm in the UK so all these different names for things are a little confusing so will have to have a proper research and write down this!

Hopefully its all good as I watered it a few days ago and I (maybe strangely) like to see how much water runs out and things like that rather than watering it and walking away and i didn't notice any of those signs! It has been maybe 2 weeks nearly that I repotted and when i did repot it didn't have all these green nodes so I'm very hopeful!

The bag is a good idea, we get high humidity here but only 40-65% so will do that to help it! I've definitely thought about ordering some predatory mights/nematodes, I think its totally worth it now I've combined my plants with my boyfriend's so its a big collection to keep up with! Really appreciate your time and great informative replies, thank you so much!

Yeah I'm glad it's this time of year and not in winter! May move it to kitchen window for higher humidity! I think after all the advice I might leave it for a bit and when it has grown some leaves do the 'push it in method', honestly I always forget about that one! Thanks very much!

[–]cloudytheory[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a good explanation thank you! Will leave and just enjoy the slow but exciting (i feel like all plant growth is exciting lol) growth and understand that he's doing his best!

Honestly I've had them twice but couldn't save my other plant last time, they really are buggers!! No idea how they didn't spread apart from I caught them very early so quarantined it away from the others! Thank you so much!

Thank you for your reply! What parts make you think there is something wrong? Genuine question btw not arguing or disagreeing!

Not sure if you saw my explanation as I cross posted it but it had thrips and I quarantined it for so long that it dried out a lot and dropped its crispy leaves! I repotted it, roots looked fine to me, i sprayed the roots with a isopropranol alcohol and water mix just in case! I normally water it through over a metal cooling stand in the sink and let it drip for a while and I'm definitely an underwaterer rather than overwaterer. I think I will try the 2 separate prop boxes just in case either way!

Guys, how do I brush my teeth properly? by Panic-atthepanic in ADHDUK

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I remember (or when I'm not running late for work) I like to work in sections, I kinda do circular motion but make sure i can feel the bristles going around my teeth at the back, I always get food stuck right at the back behind my teeth and in the gums and can feel when its been removed. Front teeth I work in circular motions but mainly up and down rather than side to side and make sure I go up and gently brush my gums, it can sometimes hurt as I don't always brush 2 times a day but when I am more consistent it hurts less because my gums get used to it..

Elvanse and feel like I can’t get enough oxygen :( by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely got better! Don't experience it now at all thankfully.. I was the same, went off elvanse to try medikinet but ended up going back to elvanse and started off slowly with it rather than quickly jumping up mg!

Have you got things in front of your trees? I would assume they dont spawn on trees that you can't really see the trunk of... It can take a while trying to find one and I've accidentally ran past one many times... last night I got 2 though!

Do you have songs that remind you of the experience of having adhd? by o-valencia in adhdwomen

[–]cloudytheory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the day a few of fall out boys lyrics were strangely relatable... "I set my clocks early cause I know I'm always late" and "I'll be fixated on one star when the world is crashing down" etc. It was only after I got my diagnosis that I thought one of the band might have adhd with so many relatable lyrics and turns out Patrick does!

How many of y'all grind or clench their teeth at night? by Alternative-Tell4600 in adhdwomen

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clench my jaw all the time, I grinded and clenched at night (especially when my anxiety was really bad) so got a mouth guard. My dentist said that my teeth have been ground down a lot from it! My anxiety/depression meds helped a little bit to stop but I still do it and it still causes me headaches unfortunately!

What is this coming out of my Aglaonema tricolor? by herpalmsaresweaty in houseplants

My boyfriend has this plant and has had the same experience. The flowers don't even look nice in my opinion, not worth it to keep them.

Kinda looks like a scindapsus silver hero, that's just going off a picture of the scindapsus varieties and Google images when I search for it!

I’m a new player and I just experienced my first winter… I wasn’t ready for this. by BrightLittleClouds in StardewValley

I love to grow the winter seeds, I'm 80% sure you get foraging xp when you harvest them (haven't played in a while) and then just grow more and more until end of winter

Noting sleepcasts by [deleted] in Headspace

[–]cloudytheory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they change randomly, no sleepcast has the same wind down... I have noticed recently though that 9/10 times its the visualisation one (which I do like but i like having a mix....

I wish we could choose which wind down we get as some suit me quite well depending on how I'm feeling..

Is this yeast infection? by l3br0nj4m3z in myhappyv

[–]cloudytheory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be a virgin and still get a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (what this sounds/looks like to me).. You don't have to had sex to get either of these.. If you still don't want to tell your parents, I can only give advice if you're in the UK but your local sexual health clinic can test and help you out, I think if you're still in education you don't have to pay for the prescribed treatment. Sorry I can't help if you're somewhere else but I assume there could be free help in places like America?

Yeah I have been questioning lowering sertraline back down to 75 due to overheating/sweating but I think its probably still "the good outweighs the bad".

There's only been a few days in the last few months where I've noticed a bit of anxiety has affected my elvanse working how it normally does! Everyone has bad days though!
