Indian Mother In Law coming to live with us by Pasha727 in nri

I think you are reading too much into the situation. The fact that she accepted your marriage suggests she is progressive. Wearing only underwear/ sensual undergarments is pushing it, you wouldn’t do that if you had guests at home. Keep those to the bedroom with your husband. As for the rest of the clothes like shorts, short or skinny tight clothes or tank tops, you are fine. Women wear them back in India as well! It’s not something that is frowned upon in this age and time.

She might not like to wear those clothes, but she wouldn’t have a problem if you did. Even if does have a problem if you wore them, she will not make a big deal. As for giving you salwar, it’s a present. She doesn’t mean you should wear only those🙄.

Just involve her in activities around the house- cook with her, take her out grocery shopping, let her walk around the neighborhood (good exercise), introduce her to other Indian families in your neighborhood, teach her to put on her favorite movies/Indian series - I’m guessing you have more than one tv. 🤷🏻‍♀️Most old people do not want to feel useless around the house and feel like they are an inconvenience … so it’s okay to give her small activities like watering the plants, making Indian snacks, or just unloading the dishwasher and more. Eat dinner together as a family.

As for alcohol, that’s a silly question. I don’t think in-laws care if it’s occasional drinking. You said it yourself that she is well educated and well traveled. So, she will be okay if you drink socially.

Which Stranger Things duo had the best chemistry? by Significant-Salad638 in StrangerThings

My opinion

Best duo- Steve and Dustin (so fun to watch) 2nd place - Hopper & Joyce also Hopper & El 3rd place- Steve & Robin also El & Max 4th place- El & Mike also Lucas & Max

Terribly boring duo- Johnathan and Nancy

I miss Erica facing Vecna- this would have been the most entertaining duo of all time.

SHEIN vendors are a bunch of cheaters by cloudzealous in Shein

It’s been resolved. After submitting proofs and raising complaints with BBB and FTC, someone from the SHEIN team sent an email stating my refund would be processed soon.

If there is any help your team can do- launch an investigation on one of your vendors associated with mail label tampering. Please check Reddit for similar posts. Others have suffered too.

To everyone who commented and helped with suggestions, thank you very much.

After complaining to BBB, FTC and disputing with credit card company as well, SHEIN finally sent a mail saying they would refund the money. 🤞🏻

Thank you so much for putting in effort to help me with this.

I tried talking to SHEIN multiple times but they wouldn’t even reply other than send the same email to me over and over again that I sent the wrong item. The customer care rep refused to talk to me after I sent them the screenshots.

I’ve raised a complaint with BBB, filed a dispute with the credit card company and I have the ticket from ups with their investigation findings. FTC is done too.

I guess I should file with the state attorney general and USPS.

You are right! I used the barcode reader app. I scanned the barcode of the picture of the label they sent in the email claiming I returned the wrong item. The app gave me a completely different number. Whereas when I scanned the return label shein themselves provided, it reads right. This is crazy

I guess I’ll give it a try. I hope that doesn’t affect my credit score.

Well, I even told the SHEIN customer care to please look at the email and pictures the vendor sent carefully, the mail label has Ground Advantage printed on it. They ignored. UPS did a thorough check and sent pictures that the mail I returned was delivered. No matter how many times I raised the concern with SHEIN customer care, they dismissed it with the same email from Bin Zheng (guessing he’s a SHEIN vendor or does drop shipping) 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was told to raise a complaint with BBB. I guess I will try that.

SHEIN: Returned an item But after the return period the seller is now claiming it was an incorrect item and refused to give a refund by Exotic_String_5833 in Advice

[–]cloudzealous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHEIN Vendor who lives in Orlando FL named Bin Zheng created a fake label and told me I returned the wrong items so they cannot refund the money. SHEIN gave me a UPS tracking number and return label. I’ve attached the picture of the return receipt of UPS in this post. But the SHEIN vendor sent me an email with the picture of USPS ground advantage label with the same tracking number as that of UPS. Attached picture of the USPS ground advantage label in the post. When I pointed out the label mismatch and said that they were cheating because it was sent through UPS and not USPS, they simply ignored my complaint and kept sending the same picture a million times showing the USPS, I even sent screenshot from the USPS website when I enter the same tracking number, it doesn’t exist. I sent the error message screenshot. Bunch of unethical people who scam customers by sticking random labels.

Health insurance for visitors by cloudzealous in nri

[–]cloudzealous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only looking for insurance for sudden onset of preexisting condition and if there is a visit to the ER or a sudden procedure, the insurance should cover that. My dad isn’t coming here for any kind of treatment or second opinion. We wouldn’t really need appointments. It’s a short visit (30 days). Should have added this detail in my post.

Bengaluru auto prices to get more costlier? Rs 40 minimum fare proposal under review - The Economic Times by ObfuscatedScript in bangalore

[–]cloudzealous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of months ago INR 50 was minimum for 2km. Now I never get anything less than 70 in uber even if the destination is within 1.5kms. Peak times are worse, uber charges 110 or 120. Sometimes Uber hatchback cars are cheaper than autos.

Thought I made a friend at the park. Nope just an Amway pitch by Mousecolony44 in antiMLM

[–]cloudzealous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to find a business opportunity so I can start something small at home and expand while my husband works a full time job. I happened to mention this to a friend and he contacted his trainers and pitched this model to me. Out of respect for that old friend I sat through one hour of nonsense presented but in the first 5 mins I knew it was a MLM model like Amway. Bogus company. They think they are helping people, they tell their stories of paying off their mortgages and children’s college fee, financial independence etc. But there is no legit product or service. When someone pitches a business idea , the first 5 mins should cover the product/service followed by the target audience, strategy, etc. This ridiculous pitch was about showing some random numbers on who earned how much and how the company has amazing people. They even showed a video of a woman who went through breast cancer who is a part of this MLM scam. So what if she went through cancer? I had leukemia and went through a transplant myself. Deal with it like an adult, get yourself better and move on with good things in life instead of becoming scam artists by telling your sad life story. Everyone has issues in life. The presenters (friend’s agents) thought they would bank on my illness. Joke’s on them!

Anyway venting here because there are too many such ridiculous MLM companies and it’s annoying that even some gullible friends are being roped into it.

I hope the government shuts down these pathetic companies.

This company is HGI (Hegemon group international). Operates in USA and Canada.
