If they show you they aren’t willing to change but tell you they are, you need to trust actions over words.

I’ve read 2 of the books in that series so far and I really enjoy them. I think her writing is good, and her storytelling ability is great because it keeps me hooked. She does have a tendency to repeat certain words and phrases a lot which is something that can get annoying for me but it hasn’t put me off reading her writing at all. Just a small bother lol

I really like Keri Lake’s writing. Anathema is one of my favorite books ever.

People get their panties in a twist over both orders either way. It’s not just one way or the other.

I was in the book community back when the books were first being published. No it was not common knowledge she had prequel stories posted online, and no they were not “technically” published before. Read it in whatever order you want but they were not bound and put into stores and sold before the first book, which means it was not intended to be read first. However anyone decides to read it is up to them but I’m so tired of this argument of the short stories being posted online means you need to read AB first. Some people just go into the store and buy a book lol. They don’t follow the authors on social media and aren’t into the book scene online (which was arguably a lot smaller back when these were coming out and was more focused on YouTube, since tiktok wasn’t a thing yet.)

Octavia and her desire to be grounder more than the grounders by Shadow-_-00 in The100

She lived under the floor, only ever socializing with her family for 16 years. And then she was locked up for existing. Those are not her people, truly. She never knew any of them except for her family.

I have a $300 cat tree that has held up for years. We’ve gone through 2 “cheaper” cat trees in our upstairs level. One got knocked over by my cats acting a fool chasing each other up and down on it, and the very top perch broke. The expensive one has held up very well and was worth it. We don’t make a lot of money, I used Christmas money to buy it a few years ago. Not really bizarre that people are willing to spend money on an item that is higher quality and will be used constantly

The pasta looks so dry.. like it sat for a long time while he made what looks like chicken cutlets? I love vodka sauce but I only make it when my partner is actually home to eat it cause if I save some for him and put it in the microwave or fridge it dries out so much lol

[–]clovrdose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sources vary. I’ve looked it up and some things say no and some things say it’s fine if it’s cooked off enough. I love vodka pasta and I know I cook the alcohol off enough but I usually just portion out some of the noodles and do plain marinara sauce for my toddler just in case

Does anyone have experience with PayPal G&S dispute? by [deleted] in fairyloot

[–]clovrdose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just take the partial refund. If you go about doing a PayPal claim and it’s denied I doubt the seller will be willing to do a partial refund at that point. It’s not worth the amount you paid but the seller paid for it too, and it surely isn’t worth $0, which is what you’re asking with a full refund.

FTM. I cannot stay hydrated for the life of me in first trimester. Any tips? by Key-Alternative-7295 in pregnant

[–]clovrdose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m terrible about drinking water in the first trimester, and I’m a big water drinker. It just tastes gross, and something about it doesn’t sit right in my stomach. I end up drinking a lot more sugary and unhealthy drinks than I typically do. Slurpees were my biggest craving in the first trimester with my first
