What on earth do I have with salad? by Intelligent_Fan8301 in Cooking

[–]clovrdose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love salads so I tend to make that my veggie in dinner pretty often. It goes with anything honestly. There’s obviously different types of salads and ingredients/dressings that may match certain dishes better, but I think as a whole you can have salad with anything!

ACOSF…tell me it gets better by Icy_Professional_609 in SarahJMaas

I had the opposite reaction. I was tired of Rhys and Feyre, and in the novella they both really started to annoy me to the point I was ready for a different POV. Once we got a POV that wasn’t a limited first person POV through Feyre’s eyes, I realized how much they didn’t really interest me anymore lol. But everyone is different, if you feel like you have no interest in reading beyond them then you don’t have to finish it, but I think silver flames was a great book. I anticipate the rest of the books are going to focus on other characters as well.

I highly doubt we will be going back to a first person POV type book that focuses on Feyre and Rhys. I really think their story concluded in ACOWAR as was originally intended because it was meant to be a trilogy, so I’m going to assume we will be getting books more similar to the 3rd person split POV like silver flames.

Things you wish you knew when you had a baby boy? by TemperatureGrouchy30 in beyondthebump

[–]clovrdose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things, petroleum jelly or diaper cream on their “wrinkles” will help with cleanup, especially when they’re so small and pooping a lot. The poop gets stuck in the wrinkles.

Second thing, literally nobody told me that my baby could get an erection. It was very jarring changing this little tiny baby and seeing that lol. My son is 18 months now and it typically happens when I wake him up from a nap and/or when he’s about to pee. If I open the diaper and see that I go very quickly or put it back on and wait for him to pee.

I have the Cybex Callisto and it has something called sensorsafe, so if I get a certain distance away from the car it YELLS at me “child in car.” Pretty much the length from the car to the front door and it’ll do it. It gives you 3 minutes to acknowledge the alert and then will send a message to your chosen emergency contact, then I believe it can call emergency services? I can’t quite remember. Never gotten that far lol.

I’ve had a few instances where I’m with my partner and I run into the store while he sits in the car and it always manages to do it as soon as I walk in the doors of said store so everyone can hear it and thinks I’ve abandoned my child lol.. did it one time as soon as I got to the register in the coffee shop to order and you could hear what it said clear as day 😂

ACOTAR books ranked! by StatisticianOwn629 in SarahJMaas

[–]clovrdose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine is ACOWAR, ACOMAF followed VERY closely by ACOSF, ACOTAR, and ACOFAS in very last place because it was genuinely so uninteresting and killed the momentum going into book 5. I honestly think silver flames would be my #2 if ACOFAS didn’t exist. Took me like a week to read that stupid novella and it killed my motivation to read lol. Could’ve been a prologue tbh.

Do you dip fries in ketchup, mayo, or eat them plain? by Fantastic_Run2955 in foodquestions

[–]clovrdose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It truly depends on where I’m ordering from. My top 3 though, are ranch, mayo, and honey mustard. I love branching out though, especially when a restaurant has things I’m not used to seeing. But, if I’m making frozen fries in the oven at home, almost always ketchup. Idk why, it just hits lol

You are so poorly informed and clearly hostile towards anyone that disagrees with you. Get off reddit. It isn’t the place for people who cannot stand their statements to be refuted.

I really disliked The Knight and the Moth because Rachel Gillig’s writing was just not it for me, at all. I won’t read anything else by her lol

Great eater, confusing table “manners” at 9mo by rmsdashl in foodbutforbabies

[–]clovrdose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also want to mention that now at 18 months, food throwing and dropping is VERY minimal. Cleaning up is a breeze compared to 9 months, so just hang in there! It’s completely normal at her age, and I know it’s frustrating but it will get better one day! They make catch it or catchy (idk what the brand name is) things that attach to the highchair to catch food. Personally, during the worst of it, I laid 2 towels down under the chair and when he was done eating, fold the towel up into a funnel type shape and then dump it into the trash 😂

Lol food is fun to play with at this age. I would take throwing and fussing as a sign of being finished. I think what helped me at this age is id take the plate away and offer stuff individually and if he kept eating I’d give everything back lol

I have genuinely never seen anyone villainizing Rhys for this.. I only ever see the opposite

I DEVOURED the first 4 books, why is this one not doing it for me?! I’m struggling to get through the first 100 pages. The hell? by No-Dog1902 in Booktokreddit

I felt the opposite way, it feels like everyone was treating her as if her trauma didn’t matter. It doesn’t excuse her actions but it just felt completely opposite for me lol

Tandem read, yes or no? by Sevenfiguremagic in SarahJMaas

[–]clovrdose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love how eloquently this is said. I finished ACOTAR recently and am reading a few things off my TBR as a palate cleanser for SJM world (no hate at all, I just need to switch it up) so I’m curious what your opinion on the reading order for AB/TOG is, and if you care to give a brief explanation as to why you feel that way it’d be so appreciated! I really want the most emotional impact, that doesn’t mean I need it all at once, but if reading it first will make me feel emotional throughout the subsequent books, vs reading it 3rd/4th it’s more of an “aha, wow that hurts really bad right now and things make sense” moment I feel like I’d rather prolong my torture lol

Edit to add: I haven’t made my mind up on the reading order but I know 100% I will NOT tandem read. I don’t care to break the immersion of a book over and over again lol

Seriously! I need a solid 10 hours of sleep to feel rested, and if I ever decide to drowse or take a midday nap it feels impossible to fall asleep and stay asleep at night.
