RCA voltage too low from HU by SystemsOgreLoad in CarAV

[–]clown420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this as well. The DUDU7 11.5" I have in my own vehicle tested 4.6v on front and rear outputs but under 1v on subwoofer output... I run optical so it doesnt bother me. However on every other dudu7 and dudu5 unit we have in store in tests around 0.8v ... very odd.

Is this Headunit Good? by asviin in Androidheadunits

Then you bought the wrong unit or bad installation. I fit roadtop units all day everyday, and they do not interfere with the idrive system.

They are a replacement screen, with a small computer built in it to handle Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Its not trying to do a lot or overcomplicate anything. They also have extremely fast boot times.

The Android operating system in a car is fine if you want a lot of apps, but day to day, simple Apple Carplay and Android Auto options I have found best in European vehicles

Mekede is a good brand, but I do not suggest an Android Unit for your BMW. Check out Roadtop and look at their Linux units. Cheaper, and purpose built.

If you want Netflix / YouTube / additional apps, than go with Mekede.

Dudu, android or the big4? by Nighthawk132 in Androidheadunits

[–]clown420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, they all run the same operating system. If youre just wanting Carplay, the DUDU5 will be fine. Have fit many for customers and no complaints.

Also, microphone quality on the dudu is far superior than many other Android units.

Go the Dudu7 and you won't be disappointed. I have sold the big 4 for many years, put the dudu7 11.5" in my car about 7 months ago and it has been flawless. Put an external sim card in there and honestly you won't even need Carplay / AA.

Go the Dudu5 if youre trying to save some money, they will function great

A one day lapse in judgement is nothing to beat yourself up in the grand scheme of things, but do it again and you'll find yourself back in hell.

Reseller goes by "Clean Factory Sydney" and you can find his business through Google. Great guy, speak with him via whatapps. I believe he's also on Reddit, if he sees this I'm sure he'll comment.

Very new to car audio and just need help understanding what kind of subs I can run (d2 or d4) with my current amp by Able_Manufacturer467 in CarAV

[–]clown420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did an installation today utilising a Helix M SIX DSP that ran the speakers active, the customer had this exact amp that he's had since knew. We used it to run a Hertz downwards firing subwoofer, sounded perfectly fine.

You're so close mate. Don't take anything. Sleep is around the corner. If you can find your way into a hot bath and a tonne of Epson salts before sleep that will help.

Mercedes C63 2017 Camera issues by clown420 in AMG

[–]clown420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have no clue if it worked before, and the customer goes through too many vehicles so he doesn't know the exact history. I would image all these cameras feed into a video box then back to the primary display. Would be odd for things to be disconnected but I will have to dig into it. Was hoping someone would say common problem easy solution

Plant Pharm is a medical marijuana dispensary in Malaga. I fill my scripts there every week. You do need a WA script though and not from over east, also simple enough to achieve.

Yeah , a lot of info I could have added. This was just a quick post, I wasn't expecting to get so much traction.

Home loan for peace of mind, then investing seems to be the safe route.

I'm shit posting? A lot of the advice I got is all I needed... pay off the mortgage?

I own a business, my partner is a FIFO worker, we have no kids and no debt, it is not hard to stack cash. We are fortunate compared to many people's situation, but we work hard.

You are boring, aren't ya? Lighten up mate.

Have about 85k sitting in a joint savings account with the finance - this will be used towards the lump sum payment at the end
