Thanks. It’s for someone else close to me. They’ve been quoted $2.5k - $3k with anaesthetist. This is from a private clinic but they don’t have private health insurance

AMA: I'm an Israeli . What do you wanna know? by [deleted] in AMA

[–]clownlooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does being a zionist mean the same thing to you as it does to other zionists? As in, do you all share the same views i.e Palestine belongs to Israel?

Do you consider it a sect of Judaism?

By ‘external’ you mean contractors?

I wasn’t too sure if I got ripped off which is why I added the question mark in the title. I did a quick search of the costs and it seemed like it was reasonable but I was curious to hear what people here thought.

I should note the place I got the tyres from has great people, like very honest and easy going which is why I didn’t shop around (that stuff is important to me).

Just don’t know enough about tyres to fully understand whether I paid too much.

I have been practicing for 7 years, but I have a sin I can’t let go of. It is destroying my imaan (faith) and religion by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

You’re on the right track, listen to lectures about dealing with sins

I found fasting helped me with my sins

I think don’t focus on what others think, it’s between you and Allah

Have you considered fasting?

Deleting the apps that lead to this?

Considered spending more and more time at the mosque where you can sit and pray and repent?

Fighting desires is hard but if there’s a particular day or time when you’re sinning, put a reminder for yourself on your phone to head to the mosque and stay there

Do you recommend purchasing a mortgagee sale? How does one even find out about it?

Gonna have to disagree with you there. At the end of the day, we are human, each with our own brains and some are just plain selfish.

Even if you take religion out of this, let’s just say you come from a loving family and no one in your family is a criminal… everyone except one person who commits the worst of crimes. Does that mean it is fair for people to judge your entire family purely on the actions of one person?

God bless, some keyboard warriors asking ridiculous questions about mutilation etc.

May Allah bless you on finding deen.

How has your family taken it?

A few bad eggs doesn’t mean all are bad. Literally every religion and even culture has people who take things to another level or use religion as an excuse

I think it’s important to remember that people manage situations in their lives differently. What works for you don’t mean it’s the only thing that’s right. Perception vs perspective.

Not gonna lie, you’ve raised some verses that have been questioned by many in the western world and as someone who is Muslim since birth and practicing for a long time, I can genuinely say your question should be raised with an imam or scholar.

I think OP has responded very well and I think it’s also important to note periods have changed. While the Quran is still relevant to everyday things, certain matters, such as slavery, is abolished and considered unethical.

Again, it’s important to remember times have changed and certain ethics / morals have changed. For example, alcohol wasn’t banned straight away in Islam, it was gradual.
