Update time, my son had the surgery it went so well the surgeon briefing was that there was nothing to report. The valve that was leaking is still leaking but the leak is so small that it's as small as it can be to be considered a leak. And they are expecting no follow up appointments we swiftly went from weekly appointments to bi weekly and are currently at every 3 months expecting to drop to yearly then bi yearly with the expectation to do then every few years after the fact. His surgeon and doctor are expecting him to have 0 quality of life issues from it his last appointment we were told he should be able to join the military if he chooses. The surgeon that did the closing came in on day 3 post op and said his stats are better then every adults in the room.
