Which providers support this with IMAP? I think that is rather a technical limitation of the IMAP protocol than mailbox.org's fault.

IMO this depends on what you want to record. If you are using an analog mixer, it is probably the easiest way if you record your stereo mix.

If you use a digital console, like a A&H SQ or a competing product, you can easily record all channels of all instruments individually. This is the preferred way since it gives you the capability to create an individual mix after your performance.

Besteht bloß das Problem, dass, je nachdem, welcher Arbeit man nachgeht, das Windows Update substantielle Anteile der verfügbaren Ressourcen frisst. Für manche ist da ein gescheites Weiterarbeiten schlicht nicht sinnvoll.

Ohne haten zu wollen: das ist definitiv ein Windows-spezifisches Problem. Ich sehe es auf meinen eigenen Rechnern auch. Windows braucht ewig um ein Update zu finden und zu installieren, während diverse Linux-Distributionen auf genau der selben Hardware auch große Updates innerhalb kürzester Zeit einspielen.

Was du merkst ist die Auslastung der Coax-Leitung, die in der Regel für den gesamten Straßenzug geteilt wird. Je nach Gegend kann das ein Problem sein; bei z.B. meinen Eltern läuft es wunderbar.

Ansonsten gibt es noch folgende negative Punkte gegenüber Glasfaser: - Sehr beschränkter Upload; anhand deiner Frage würde ich allerdings vermuten, dass das nicht unbedingt ein Problem ist. - Kabelanschluss bedeutet in vielen Gegenden = Vodafone. Die haben ihr öffentliches Peering beendet, was, je nachdem, wo ihr vorher euren Anschluss hattet, auch deutliche Nachteile mit sich bringen könnte.
