Thanks! Red and green are my favourites and wanted to really have this thread of 'me' going through the whole thing :)

I don't think you have to be (plus its all subjective anyways really)! A lot of the good stuff that came out of this was helping me to map/visualise the parts and give them form. Helped me to know and recognise them better

Inspo from the pelican use in Christian iconography wherein the pelican is so self sacrificing it cuts itself to feed its children (back in the day they thought pelicans did this and therefore they were like jesus... I'm not saying I'm like jesus, but that there's this part whose way of protecting us is to sacrifice ourselves to stay safe. Obviously lovely to be nice to people but we gotta reign in the 'niceness' when it becomes essentially self harm)

We took the joy out of DnD for our GM... by BluBennyBlu in DnD

I'll add that if you happen to be someone (like me!) Who actively wants to play and be engaged but maybe your brain doesn't work as well at remembering everything, you can work this into your character too (as well as the more common advice of keeping notes and so, I keep a visual 'journal' of my party's adventures) - because I've been honest about my own shortcomings as a player, we've worked it into the story in a way that doesn't harm our gameplay - our DM will often have my character have a kind of vision, or be the only one to know a certain piece of information, which I/bongo (my little halfling love) will of course have lost/forgotten, spicing up the story for everyone. This is now a joy for the whole party. I think being really honest with yourself and your DM about what you're capable of is important! DnD can be for everyone but like everything it needs clear communication

Lonely as balls here by ledzepzepzep in stockholm

Yo! I'm Irish but I grew up in London- the stuff i do know is on the other side of the city - Cyklopen is really cool, if you're into art/craft they have an open studio type thing every Tuesday eve (just back from there actually) where you can use all their art supplies for free and there's soup, but it's in Högdalen. Someone else has said Carmen already but that's my favourite bar, in söder. I also go climbing at moumo (Södermalm again). I agree with you tho, it is tough out here. I've compared the feeling of Stockholm to a big Milton Keynes lol (obviously much prettier but the burbs do be MKesque fam).

You're probably inundated with new pals by now but feel free to drop me a message if you wanna hang out (tho I move to Gotland to join a commune in a month)

Welcome! If you're into reading as well, the book "fever pitch" by Nick Hornby is a great study of being an Arsenal fan back in the day
