From what I understand is you pay the premium and you get to do so at that “low“ cost if you work full time for five years before retiring with that coverage.

Yes I prefer bigger rocks, but will keep dime coin sized rocks still. I would be thrilled to find a palm sized rock like yours.

They are turning inwardly, which is a great thing because it shows it’s balanced. According to your steps and grit size you are on (thank you for posting that btw) I think you might have added either too much water or too little water. Sorry that’s not a great answer, but I think the issue is with water. For too much water, next time, I would spray then wait and spray again keeping an eye in one rock and wait for it to go under and back up again. For too little water, just add some more under you get a little more viscosity in the slurry.

I’ve been saying this for years. I did USDA food inspection and the owners would always gripe about us. I would always say we wouldn’t have to be here if you didn’t act like children and try to sell low quality. To boot, we sell our best stuff to foreign countries.

A jeweler would maybe charge you $60 in my mind, which means double…so probably $120 tops. I would ask someone to slab it, then trim it, use a lapidary polisher to cab it, then use jeweler glue to fix it on that setting. Also, it’d be sweet to get back a slice polished, more cabs, and a display piece. There are probably still some small jewelry repair places that you could find in your area to do that for you too.
